Not shooting at what triggered Standby?

When standby is triggered, and the token is spent for an attack action, is the unit that spent the standby token required to shoot at the unit that triggered standby? I can’t seem to find anything that requires a unit with standby to attack the unit that triggered it, but I may be missing something.

No, when the standby is triggered, the unit that spends the token may perform an attack action or a move action, that's all there is. When performing the attack you may choose any unit that fills the conditions like any other attack.
