Pulling the strings confusion

By Zeph01, in Rules

Hey Guys,

I believe this question was asked already but say you use pulling the strings to move imperial royal guards or snowtroopers, does that move action from pulling the strings activate charge or steady?

Also if you use leis command card no time for sorrows, and say you choose luke as your friendly trooper unit, does the speed one move also cause lukes charge to happen?

I appreciate some clarification, thank you

Yes, because it’s a move action.

No, because it’s not a move “action”.

Anything that gives you a move action let’s you trigger effects off of it. If it’s just a move, then you cannot trigger effects unless they specify “move” (like standby, for example).

thank you for clarifying

are there any limitations to moving into melee rules? for example can you only move into melee during your own activation?

No problem! You can move into melee at any time you perform a move, whether it’s during your activation or not. But you must use your unit leader to initiate the melee. You can’t cohere the other minis into base contact to start it.
