Let' say, for some reason, that I have Luke Skywalker equipped with Saber Throw. I played Son of Skywalker this turn, yet I do not have any melee tagerts. I know I can shoot my pistol twice, I know I can throw my saber and shoot a pistol.
But can I throw the saber twice? It is a card action and as such cannot be performed twice, yet SoS grants an attack, not an attack action (as specified by Saber Throw). Which takes precedence?
EDIT: Also, can I even choose to use saber throw as an additional attack from SoS? It doea mess with normal attack steps, so I wonder if Luke even has this attack option avaiable to him without using card action.
Son of Skywalker and Saber Throw
Absolutely. It has been referred something similar in the official ruling thread. I hope it helps.
Yeah, that I get that I can use Saber Throw w/ Relentless. My question is different, as I want to use Saber Throw twice in an activation, and the rules are a bit wonky on that...

It's very tricky indeed. Even though saber throw is treated as an attack action, I'm not sure if SoS let it override this:
"Each card action is a unique action; a unit can perform different card actions during its activation. However, a unit cannot perform the same card action more than once during its activation ."
My go is that you can only make one of the attacks with saber throw
In addition to what @Lemmiwinks86 said, we actually have a ruling from the devs that Jump cannot be performed multiple times (even though it counts as a move action) on the grounds that it is a card action. Same logic applies here with Saber Throw.
Edit: on another note, I’m not sure the second attack with SoS can be Saber Throw anyway. ST is an attack action, but SoS gives you an extra “attack”.
