This something I've been wondering about. How would panic work with emplacement troopers? I haven't used them enough yet, but in a situation where they become panicked, what happens to them?
Emplacement troopers and panic
This topic came up last night when we played them, too. Without looking rules up we decided that they'd be taken off the board in case of panic, as if the crew ran off and the gun fell to the ground.
And then we started talking about the possibility of another infantry unit simply spending an action to take over the emplacement once in base contact and turning into an emplacement trooper... ?
With the Eweb is simple, you just make a move action like any other panicked trooper unit to get it out of the battlefield. For the 1.4 D we got an official answer (don't remember if they added that in the official rules of this forum) but if it is panicked it just do nothing with its activation (no actions at all)

Why didn't you look the rules up? It's in the RRG. There's no real question about the E-Web, of course, but the Laser Cannon Team has stationary.
Not intending to make anyone feel bad, just logically speaking...if one has a device capable of posting on a forum, the RRG is handy
I would kind of love to make this happen in a game. "Yeah, see that giant gun you brought? It's now the planet's most expensive paperweight."
This makes sense thematically as it would be like the crew just hid behind a rock and aren't even at the gun anymore.
