What's your storage setup like until an insert arrives?

By Gorphax, in Arkham Horror

With Broken Token not likely until several expansions are out, what are your interim storage solutions? We've got tokens, 96 encounter cards for the 4 scenarios, neighborhood cards, codex cards, mini item cards, all of which are worth keeping distinct for an easy setup.

As always, the item cards are what give me a headache because after all these years, there's still no good deckbox for them.

I’ve only had the game a day. So far:

Tokens are going in these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07CGMY311?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

Sleeved monster cards are going in their own small baggie in alphabetical order.

Sleeved unique (alphabetized), starting (alphabetized), and blessed/cursed cards are going in a separate small baggie.

The above two small baggies are going together in a larger ziploc baggie, potentially with a DO NOT SHUFFLE label.

Item, spell, ally, and dark pact cards are going together in a small baggie, potentially with a SHUFFLE label.

Each of the neighborhoods’ encounter decks gets its own small baggie so I can easily pull out only the ones I need in a given scenario. These baggies are kept together in a larger ziploc baggie.

Each scenario’s event deck gets packaged with its anomaly encounter cards (if applicable) in its own small baggie. I will probably put these together in a larger ziploc baggie if they fit.

The token solution will likely last at least a few expansions, though I know the cards will need to be reworked as soon as the first expansion comes out.

Yeah I figured between Arkham Nights advance copies and retail street date of tomorrow, a thread is worthwhile. I'd have wanted this before I got my copy anyway- I hate having unorganized games.

So far, storage is all over the table :D

I have no idea how ill end up doing it but deckboxes of some sort for the various decks is likely, and a big old tackle box for the tokens.

I went with a plano box for bits and Broken Token card cases.

Have not yet put them all in the box yet though...

I found those and am between those and Zen Bins for everything. They aren't released yet so there's not too much to show but they have new cases coming for standard and mini cards as well as their token bins. We use some for Scythe and like them a lot but I didn't know what they were called until now.

So I got the broken token boxes and they do not fit into the Arkham box (at least with the lid down). I would not recommend these as I am particular about that type of thing.

Various Target brand plastic baggies and FFG sleeves for cards and MTL sleeves for the Gator cards.

I made my own foam core insert. It’s a quick prototype and a little rough, but I like it well enough I’ll probably keep it.

Would you mind sharing your measurements? I'd love to make something like that for my box.

Sorry for not responding sooner. I’m scrapping this design and redoing it based on a design on boardgamegeek.

My design doesn’t allow for sleeved cards, and the neighborhood tiles don’t fit very well. I really like the design above with the small cards in a tray that can be lifted out and used.

Bags for cards and non-pool tokens. Then we just dump all the pool tokens under the insert to put away. When we play we just leave all pool tokens in a big jumble in the box bottom (after we pull out the insert of course). The distinctive colors / shapes / sizes make them easy to distinguish from each other in a big pile.
