Aim/dodge in Melee

By Will44, in Rules

We played our first game last night. One rules question was using Aim/Dodge in melee. Is there an FAQ or official answer somewhere?

thanks

You can totally use aim/dodge in melee.

You don't need a FAQ or official answer as it's in the Rules we have.

Under Aim:
"During an attack, a unit can spend one or more aim tokens to reroll up to two dice for each aim token spent."

Under Dodge:
"Units can gain dodge tokens that allow them to cancel hit results during an attack."

Note that in both cases it just say "attack", not ranged attack, so they work for all kinds of attacks.

Perhaps we were overthinking, but while it does say “attack,” the rules for aim/dodge were specifically in the shooting section of the “learn to play” game, and not in the general attack rules... hence our confusion.

thanks for the help!

Aim and dodge can be used in any attack. Close combat or ranged it’s in the shootings section of the rules. because you’ll be shooting a lot more then In close combat.

Also for my first few games we have the same problem. ?
