Suppression Work?

By SW Legion France Ryo, in Rules

Hello all, small question concerning the suppression and its functioning:

Example 1: a unity(unit) has 3 pawns suppresion, those this throw(cast) dice to be able to the out-of-the-way and remove only one from it on 3.

He thus has 2 pawns abolition(deletion), my question is the unity(unit) loses t-elle 1 action(share) BY pawn abolition(deletion) (that is in this case it is 2 actions(shares)) or the unity(unit) loses only a single action(share) no matter the number of pawns abolition(deletion) above (below the threshold of panic obviously).

Thank you for having read to me

(sorry i try with my bad english ^^ because the FR forum is sleeping ^^)

I'm sorry I'm not sure if I understand ?

If i'm not wrong, you say that a unit has 3 supression tokens. At the start of the activation it rolls dice to remove supression and they remove 1 token, so they have 2.

If that is the situation, and they are regular troopers (rebel troopers, fleet troopers, stormtroopers or snowtroopers), since they have a courage value of 1, they panic* because they have twice the supression tokens (2) than the courage value.

*keep in mind that if there is a commander at range 1-3, the unit can use it's commander courage value.

I think this what you are asking: when you are suppressed, do you lose 1 action per suppression token? Or do you lose 1 action total?

The answer is you lose 1 action total. So you still have 1 action you can perform, regardless of the number of suppression tokens.

Hope that helps!

If you have a suppression token you are considered suppressed and you gain light cover

If your suppression is equal to your courage value you only get one action

If you have suppression that is twice your courage value you may panic, although being in range 2 of a commander for this effect and this effect only you use your commanders courage to check for panic.

You remove one suppression token off each unit at the end of each round

Your roll a white dice for each suppression token in your rally step just after you activate the unit , you remove one suppression for each dice without a blank face

You check for the above effects after your rally step. So if you had 3 suppression and removed two and had 1 courage you wouldn't be panicing but you would lose your action. If you had 2 you would panic unless in range of a commander.

The hostile environment battle condition card prevents you from removing the suppression token at the end of the turn, unless it is a trooper unit on contact with terrain ( or in shelter)

I hope that helps (probably overkill here)

Minor clarification: having 1 suppression does not necessarily mean you are suppressed (although it does improve cover). Having suppression tokens equal to or greater than your courage value means you are suppressed.

thanks you're correct here, my definition of suppressed was wrong , ive been taking it as having a suppression token, however its when you lose your action.
