Hi again, got another question to be sure:
Unit A (mine) was quite spread, next to a building. Unit B (my oponent) wanted to shoot at them. Check range from unit B leader, so the closest mini from unit A was out of LOS, but IN RANGE. Rest of minis in LOS were OUT of range.
I told my oponent that he could shoot me because the range is measured from leader to closest unit. We just checked for cover usually.
We did it right, isn't it?
PS: Han shot first my commando unit, roll 2 hits, took one out for cover (counting Han's marksmanship) and I didn't even roll defense die because of pierce. One commando died during this experiment.
