Warpstone Poisoning?

By JoshuaSable, in WFRP House Rules

Hello all! Just turning to fellow GMs for some ideas here, as my mind suddenly (and surprisingly) turned blank!

During the next game on Sunday my group is set to have a run-in with a group of Skaven, and I wanted the leader to have a Warplock Pistol. You know, the Skaven pistols that shoot warpstone bullets. Problem is, they're out in the wilderness without a surgeon nearby... If one of them is hit (or even if not hit if they loot the Skaven and find some Warpstone shot in a pouch!), what kind of effect should happen with Warpstone?

Obviously it leads to insanity and mutation. But at what rate, etc? More though, I am kinda' hoping to set at least some kind of standard for my game, as it's set in 2001, and warpstone could be plentiful if they decide to march up to Mordheim.

So, any thoughts? And thanks in advance!

The magic expansion will have these rules I believe. Meanwhile you could adapt the 2nd Ed rules...
