Just picked up some 2.0 stuff and I'm looking to get started building squads. But first I need to know where i can get pointcosts and other hidden stats. Also what is the standard point amount players get to build squads in 2.0?
Getting started with 2.0
200 points is the limit for now. There is a squad builder on the app/iOS store out.
There is an excellent third party builder you can use: https://raithos.github.io/?f=Rebel Alliance&d=v4!s!&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs=
Then there is the official builder on smart devices or as web-app here: https://squadbuilder.fantasyflightgames.com/
And finally there is four pdf files with point costs and slots availiable on the second edition support page: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/x-wing-second-edition/

Happy flying!
Also, a card browser, with points and upgrade slots included: http://www.infinitearenas.com/xw2browse/#
Hmm. Alrighty. Thanks
I see that some ships have printed modification card symbols on their upgrade bars. Does that mean all ships no longer may equip one modification card by default?
Yes.

Dang, No modifications... sucks for my beloved A-Wings.
Step 1.)
https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/x-wing-second-edition/
Step 2.) hit support
Step 3.) hit "point lists"
or download the app or, preferably, just use Yet Another Squadron Builder 2 (3rd party online app but so good)

On the bright side, A-Wings are now (taking into account doubled pts costs and game size pts limits) effectively getting Chardaan Refit pts costs, without the "no missiles" limitation, they have Barrel Roll, they have Segnors Loops, and they have a special Boost ability, allowing them to follow up any action with a red Boost. All in all, they may be better overall.
I think a theme in 2e is to build last edition's "fix cards" into a ship's basic statblock. Y-Wings coming with bomb slot as standard, for example. TIE Advanced coming with System slot as standard. And so forth.
Just an FYI - for your convenience, the links to the listbuilders are in the pinned thread Index of useful links

But why A-Wings? Of all the rebel ships they are the only ones who don't get a modification. Seems unfair.

Because they are a cockpit strapped to an engine. Not enough room on the thing.

Ties are a cockpit with flimsy solar panels. To which you can attach afterburners it seems.

You got me. I have no idea.

For regular TIEs, yes. The TIE Advanced v1 apparently has no room for mods (possibly shields + missiles + system slot + white Boost (with linked Focus) takes up all that space).
Conversely, TIE Interceptors come with 2 mod slots. Possibly whatever technique the Royal Guard used to make theirs more moddable, has been mass produced and now all Interceptors are as moddable as Royal Guard ones were.
New question: Some upgrades like expert handling have pictures of actions on different places on the card. In the lower left hand of the card is a red Barrel roll. In the center right edge is a white barrel roll.
What's that about?
lower left is a prerequisite, lower right is added to your upgrade bar.

Lower Left: What you need to equip the card.
Center Right: What you get from equipping the card.
So only a ship with a red barrel roll can use expert handling?

yes
Alright. Thanks
