Simply give me this builder https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shinayser.xwingmanager
I'll go through pages 2 and 3 in around 12h and add the new points to the list
edit: uhm, can't do it currently, super busy at work all day
Edited by GreenDragoonNot sure if this suggestion is on this list yet:
I would like have the ability to see Condition Card text somewhere when selecting a pilot or upgrade which applies a condition. Currently Condition Cards are not even viewable in the Card Database.
Please add a print button to the list creation window.
Right now, to print a list, I need to name the list, save it, open the Share window, generate a PDF, save it, open it in another app and finally I can print it. That's way too many steps.
Add threat card mode.
Add "Random Squadron": Create a random squadron from your collection.
Show what the action do (a small remind is always welcome)
Show condition card (what device condition do ?)
A bug report feature would be nice. Since this is the primary way to build squads now, a bug report feature could feed directly into your backlog for grooming. Also, a known bugs section based on your backlog would give players a sense of what to expect.
The app needs an offline capability for saved squads and point values. All devices are not connected all the time and all networks are up all the time everywhere. This is completely possible for the app and website.
Please add an option to change language for the mobile app.
Edited by HeinsonViceHas anyone asked for filters on search so you can look for ships by upgrade slot? That would be helpful. The search function needs many more filters.

No offline mode : The app doesn't work if you don't have WiFi or over the air data. This is a huge design flaw. Why would you want to pay for the bandwidth for people to continuously be querying your data web service? The database can't be more that a few megs.
The app should have a local database. When the app starts, have it check for connectivity to the data web service. If it can't connect, it starts up using the local database. If it can connect, it checks for updated data. If there is updated data it retrieves it and updates the local database. It then starts up on the local database.
To check for an update, the app only has to send a date or version to the service and the service replies with the updated data or a database valid message. This will greatly reduce your bandwidth cost since the apps are only sending and receiving about 16 bytes to verify they are up to date if there are no updates to download.
After updating the database, it syncs the user's squads with their account on the server. Also, after the data is updated, the user should be alerted if point cost changes has put any of their squad lists over the point limit.
I realize, that keeping the database on the web server ensures that everyone has the same data, but what good is that if no one at a tournament can connect. Also, why would anyone design a mobile system where the server is doing 50% or 60% of the heavy lifting. Leverage the client hardware.
This is a deal breaker for me. If I can't use this offline, it is useless. Why? Two of the local convention locations have terrible phone access in the gaming hall. One of them you simply CANNOT get ANY signal inside. How can anyone attempt to run a tournament at any convention there? You will either have to have a printout of your list or use one of the many (and better) third-party apps.
* Offline mode
* Dials
* A collection feature that actually works (I can select 'composure' for my squads despite not having Lando's Falcon). I can also select an infinite number of (for example) Y-wings, despite there only being dials/cards for 2 in the conversion kit.
* View cards by what expansion they are in
* Keep track of wins/losses by squad, preferably including what ships were destroyed/Half HP in each win/loss
* Filter squads by various settings (game type, faction, contains certain pilot, etc.)
I want an option to build squads using quick build within app rather than having to use the cards. This will become more useful when/if quick builds are released to ensure your collection can cover what is being fielded.
Without language selection, the Andriod App is basically useless for every non US player who uses english cards.
- Please shrink everthing done to a useful size. Scrollbars everywhere, only blank space wasted for "style" purposes.
- get rid of all the page loading. just a quick popup for selecting all the upgrades.
- Offline mode for use inside a building. Not to mention, metro, plane or even a bus.
- Provide proper filter for my one gear. I can select my items, but currently its not reflected in filters and options.
- Dials would be very useful especially for me as a new player.

So here is a bit of a stretch and really more of a wishlist thing rather than 'do this to not be worse than other builders': Stuff to do beyond list building, specifically a feature for browsing popular lists in some form. Veeeeery low on the priority list, but when the basics are covered this is something I'd like to see.

THIS. IS. A. MUST.
I'd also add small info from which expansion each card is (below card image)
Is there a “clone” ship feature? Tie swarms are a pain to build otherwise.
OK, there's a bunch of issues, many of which have been covered already, but I may reiterate a few for emphasis on their importance:
1. Win/loss record. I always imagined FFG would use some sort of data gathering to determine meta anomalies and the lack of a record system disproves this. Please add it for the players and then figure out a way to make use of it for research purposes. It would provide excellent data for future points adjustments. Its omission is perplexing.
2. Color code actions. Red actions all show up as white in the Android app (I haven't checked the web or Apple apps). This again, makes no sense. I know you can show the actual card, but that seems silly - just color it correctly in the standard display.
3. Update stats when taking upgrades. If I buy a shield upgrade, increase my shield value on that ship by one. Same for hull and agility. And once you get the color coding updated from point 2, you can then do the same for engine upgrade and expert handling. This is pretty basic stuff.
4. Add a basic search function. Let me type in the name of the upgrade to find it instead of scrolling. While you're at it, maybe give us an option of listing by points instead of alphabetical (though Composure is listed last in Talents currently, so it's not even alphabetical).
5. Reduce font sizes and sizes in general. There's a lot of information and large fonts mean more scrolling. I'd happily squint instead of scroll.
6. Separation of lists. I've had to add prefixes to my lists (Imp, Reb, Scum) to organize them. And if you build a variant list, it just says "variants" and nowhere does it indicate which variant. List organization is necessary to get us to build a gazillion lists and make us want to buy more ships because we built a list we want to have a go at. It's what's fueled a good chunk of my purchases.
7. DIALS. Seriously, how can there not be a dial view?
I'll likely add more to this list, but this is what seemed most important right now. I think these are all pretty basic and seem silly to not already be part of the app. I know FFG is working on the app and I expect changes to be made over time, but a bit more planning may have avoided some of the uproar upon its release (lets be honest, there would have been some uproar no matter what). I know there's a bunch of stuff on my wishlist as well, but I'd like to see them get the basics in place before going into the nitty gritty that I think would add flavor to the app.
Edited by Bad Idea ComicsThere is a bug with the Alpha Class Configurations they don’t add slots in the app builder

An addition to this:
I want to be able to go into the conversion kit and select what I actually have from it.
E.g. I don't have a ghost, or a YT-2400, or a K-wing. Currently those things clog up the ship list, so I want an option to select 'I don't have these, don't show them'. I also only have 2 Z-95s, not the 4 the kit supports, so I want to be able to specify that somewhere.
Do not close the ship/pilot list when I add a pilot, instead keep a little total number in the corner. This way I don't have to go back to the same menu after every pilot addition when I want to add several copies of the same pilot.
Add a copy pilot function. Again so we don't have to go back to Add ship over and over again.

What other suggestions do you guys have?
Offline functionality
Two wishes -
Firstly; will this be coming to the Amazon App store? As a TO, I'd rather have the software on my tablet than on my phone. The App currently isn't there and Google Play won't install it on a Kindle.
Secondly; as not all venues have wifi access, and my Kindle doesn't have its own hardware for connecting to the Internet, will there be Offline functionality? While Online I can use the Web-Browser version but Offline I'm having to rely on the PDFs.
a reference section for rules would be nice. Be able to search key words to get the rules. Yesterday, we had 3 questions come up: Ion Maneuver being blue, Talon Roll ending placement, and medium ship Barrel Roll. Would be nice not have to page through the rule book and RRG to determine these.
Card Database needs to be able to filter by more things in Advanced Search. Initiative is a must here and I'm sure there is more that's missing. Taking another look at it, slots might something to filter by but that could arguably be changed by format... so we also need to be able to set format in the Card DB
