Hi guys, getting back into table top gaming after years of not playing since war gaming in my youth. I apologize ahead of time for my weak search-fu, but I've only got a couple games under my belt with my daughter and a friend. We have questions about card actions, free actions and when the actions take place in the order of things. Thank you ahead of time.

1) Is Son of Skywalker the only card, order or action, that allows two attacks in one activation?

2) Do the free action cards, such as force choke, Saber throw or force push count as the one attack action that can be used? Or can they be used in addition to a "normal" attack action?

3) When can the free action cards be used, anytime in the turn and in range, unless otherwise stated in the card?

4) Character card actions like relentless, deflect, jump and charge only able to be used once per activation?

5) When I use a command card with a specific character picture on it, such as Luke, does that have to be one of the units that are activated?

And finally..... I noticed in my general forum browsing that I've seen several people mention using force push to pull (instead of pushing away) units to them, but the card says " - 1" right on it. I'm assuming it's a negative sign, not a dash. So are those people getting it wrong or am I missing something?

1- Is one of the few (check Han's Gunslinger, for example)

2- Cards with a free action symbol doesn't count as an attack unless otherwise specified. Be aware that the action icon on "Saber Throw" is NOT a free action icon. Also, it specifies it to be treated as an attack action.

3- During that unit activation. Timing sometimes might be relevant. For example Vader might want to get a dodge token from "force reflexes" before movint into range of a Standy unit / mine / proton charge, etc.

4- watch out, you arw mixing things, some of those keywords are NOT actions. Jump is an action, so it counts as an action when you activate. For example, deflects works as long as you have dodge tokens on you.

5- The card always tell you who can recive orders (not activate!). For example, "Master of Evil" allows you to give an order to Darth Vader and 2 other units.

6- Read "force push" like if it was "force move": You can move the unit in any direction with a speed 1 move (following all the rules for movement)

It's a hyphenated word, speed-1.

As YuriPanzer said, make sure you're not getting mixed up between issuing orders and activating units. Every unit will activate every round, but you only issue orders to a few of them.

However, a command card belonging to a specific character must be based on that character. That means you can't play that card if Luke has been killed, and if you have more than one commander in your army (e.g. Luke and Han), Luke's cards can only issue orders to units within range of Luke.

Jeez, cut the guy a break. Of course reading the rules will answer most rules questions. The guy says he's a newb trying to wrap his head around a complicated game so he can get on with playing with his daughter. He even apologized ahead of time. This is what the forums are for, ffs, players helping other players out. If you don't have the time or inclination to do that for someone that's totally fine, but just move on without the snarky jabs.

@Garrcha Welcome to the forums and to this wonderful, crazy-cool (and at times crazy-complicated) game of Legion. Feel free to ask any questions you want. I've been playing since launch and still feel like I'm learning. Kinda of part of what makes the game fun. Most people here are more than willing to help you figure it out.

Thanks for all the help guys, I really do appreciate it. I've read the new updated rules, mostly, as it pertains to how we're playing now. Once I get my stuff painted I'll have to post some non Zorastro quality pics. In the other thread. Again, thanks and happy hump day, which is way less provocative then it sounds by the way.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for one day. Teach him how to fish and he will be able to feed himself forever. So instead of giving just answers, it would be better to tell him were he can find those answers by himself.

If you happen to be person of faith, consider this analogy -- imagine a new person shows up to your place of worship with questions about the faith. He says, "forgive my ignorance, but I'm trying to teach my daughter." Do you...

A. Graciously welcome him, thank him for coming, and do your best to answer his questions? or...

B. Thump your Bible at him and chastise him for not looking up the answers himself?

You didn't teach him how to fish. You just told him he should have read a book about fishing.

Actually if I had quoted Jesus, you may have been right.

But I quoted an ancient Chinese proverb.

Also I didn't give him answers because Others had already answered in the most satisfactory way possible (giving him answers for one day) .

So I told (taught) him where HE could have found those answer by himself (so He can find answers whenever he needs them). Something that nobody had done yet at that time.
