Just recently finished painting my core set and bumbled through the learning scenario, came away with a few questions that I hope can be answered (yes, I know I could scour the rulebook but this is faster IMO)...
1. Weapons & Attacking - when you have a unit with multiple weapons can you/do you add all attack dice to the pool when attacking a single target? For example, let's say I have a unit of Imperial Speeder Bikes within range 2 of Luke Skywalker. The bikes have 2 weapons (the pistols and the cannon). At range 2, Luke is within range of both. Do I choose one of the two weapons to attack or can I add the dice for ALL weapons to the pool? Additionally, in general, can I pick and choose? Say, can I decide to use the cannon of one bike and the pistol of the other to attack (assuming you cannot attack with weapon total of 4)?
2. Weapons & Attacking Multiple Units - Using the previous example but now put a squad of Rebel Troopers within within range 2 in addition to Luke. When I attack with the bikes can I only target ONE enemy unit (Troopers OR Luke) or can I attack both using different weapons? For example, could I use the bikes' cannons to attack Luke and the pistols to attack the Troopers (or vice versa)?
3. Firing Arcs & Multi-model Units - Same setup as previous questions but now have only ONE of the bikes' firing arcs covering Luke and the other not. For the attack does only ONE of the models in the unit have to have the target in the firing arc or do both? So if only one does, does that mean only one cannon's dice are added to the attack pool?
4. Melee Against Vehicle - Different scenario: Darth Vader has moved to touch base with the AT RT. Since the AT RT is a vehicle it's not engaged with Vader and thus both models can move freely and attack/be attacked as normal correct? So even though the AT RT is touching base with Vader it can still perform ranged attacks against other units and be attacked by other units correct (and same with Vader)? But what if the AT RT wants to attack Vader? It's not engaged but its touching bases with him. Does that mean that if the AT RT wants to attack Vader it MUST use and only use its melee weapon? Or can it use its ranged weapons? And if its touching bases does that mean that it can use ALL of its weapons against Vader (melee, blaster, and additional weapon attachment)?
