So, looking att Boba again because I wanna proxy him in a game soon I wonder if his Whipcord launcher can be used in melée? It says within range 1, and if you ar ein melée you are within range 1, but other cards like the emperors attack notes that in can be used in melée as well and the laucnher does not so i guess the answer is no?

Why I ask is beacuse of the text that says that Boba can move while engeaged with enemies who has immobilise tokens implies to me that you could shoot the laucnher against an enemy in melee and then fly away from them? Luke comes at you in melée, you shoot the launcher and fly away to safety, and not down the sarlac pit.

Is it an attack? No. So why do you compare it with things that make Attacks?

That is definitely something you could use the Whipcord for, I think it might be the best use of it, actually.

This is very true, I did think about as an attack but it is not. : -)
When I think about it, other abilites like force choke and other card abilities that are within range 1 can also be used in melée.
