Pillage as a viable basis for a deck?

By AeroEng42, in Deck Building

I am a new player and have been having fun brainstorming decks. The pillage mechanic in particular seems like such an interesting mechanic, especially as a support for other methods of reaching your 15 power before your opponent, but I haven't seen many decks built around it. Is it just a generally disdained ability in the current state of the game?

My ideas generally focus around using the military power of Greyjoy and Seastone Chair to Target kill your opponent's characters while also pillaging away their cards and denying then options with Tris, Euron, and Nighttime Marauders, or around using Banner Greyjoy with Nights Watch to get your opponent's characters into the discard for all the Nights Watch steal effects. Are these just bad ideas?

I would post decks, but so far I am having trouble cutting them down too, since there seem to be so many synergistic cards for this idea. If I have more time later, I will.
