Proton Charge Sharpshooter

By KiraYamatoSF, in Rules

I was curious that when a Rebel Commandos proton charge goes off does it have the sharpshooter ability or does it not due to it not really being fired? If it retains sharpshooter that makes it even nicer against speeder bikes.

Not necessary against Speeder Bikes, since the charges have blast. It would make a difference against Air Speeders though. But rules prevent it anyhow:

Any unit keywords of the unit that detonates the charge token do not apply to any attacks made when the charge token detonates.

You don’t get the sharpshooter ability. The charge is essentially its own entity wholly separate from the unit that detonates it. You don’t get keywords, the unit’s surge conversions, aim tokens, etc. It’s all on page 27, but here’s the most relevant passage:

Quote

Any unit keywords of the unit that detonates the charge
token do not apply to any attacks made when the charge
token detonates.

Having said all that, the charge does have Blast, which ignores cover anyway.

Oh...yeah it does. Can't believe I missed that. Thanks for answering.
