Wait. No dice release yet?

So the dice pacs aren’t being released along side the beginner box? That seems like an odd choice given FFG’s beginner boxes notoriously don’t have enough to begin with let alone dice for players... (yes, sharing IS a thing, but often a PITA, especially if there’s not enough to begin with for a solid roll).

The ten dice should be enough unless you get lucky with your exploding dice and want to roll each separately. There is the dice too.

Ahh it comes with 10 (5x2). The images I saw in their marketing materials only ever showed 3 of each. Guess that’s a decent # of dice.

Still doesn't explain why the packs of dice aren’t available now - after all they had to be produced for the box set, so it’s not like the dice packs could have been “delayed by unforeseen production set back.”

It probably makes more marketing sense to release the dice alongside the core.

You can always download the dice app ffg released with the beta.

The starting PC's will not likely exceed 5&5 in the adventure. Long term, it's probable that rolls into the 7-8 dice of a type will happen.

One of the last pages of the beta rules includes die icons. We printed these on sticker paper, cut them out, and stuck them on some store bought dice. They worked well in the beta and we used them again as extras during the Topaz Championship. The Beginners Game box includes enough dice as long as only one person is rolling at a time, but I recommend having more dice on hand so players can roll simultaneously and so the GM can pre-roll some attacks. It helps speed the game along.
