I think it was Tauntaun or someone else that pointed out that clone trooper holdovers would be a viable commander from the fluff standpoint, I love star wars armada and am now getting into x-wing but I'm an Infantryman I love me my ground combat such as what we saw in rogue one (Second best movie in my personal opinion because of the combat not the acting)

I have been watching Rebels for the first time. I was initially hesitant, but it has turned out not bad. Mels does the ghost crew and Rex. I would like the variety in figures to represent a squad more like Rogue One. The death troopers look awesome, but they have too many DLT 19D instead of E11D. The Skull Forge has nice alternatives too.

I want to say that the squad leader was the only one with the DLT I could be mistaken and there could've been two in the squad, That being said I love the sound of that rifle in battlefront and also pretty sure that the death troopers with the dlt-19d were the only ones to get kills. Either way Death troopers are amazing and I love that Rebels made them more of an "Elite" Unit like delta or seals doing a lot of wet work and high priority missions. Beach troopers come across as more competent than storm troopers and from what I've read they are all NCO's. I will say in the stormtrooper core the standard stormtroopers are your POGs and Shoretroopers, Death Troopers are your Infantry and SF.

The equivalent of scout troopers on Kashyyyk during the clone wars had a camouflage reminiscent of the old USMC camo. I based my entire army around that

Very nice, I'm horrible at painting but I'm going to paint my Snow troopers that color just because I want to and they feel more elite albiet slow on tabletop. I'm going all woodland for the ATST, Scouts when I get them and snowtroopers.

Look forward to seeing them. Makes far more tactical sense. My rebels are in a combination of SS Oak leaf, Woodland, MARPAT desert, multicam, and a couple other patterns plus a couple in contractor khaki pants. I just didn’t do the black polo.

I have not come up with a paint scheme yet for the rebels, I know I have all the Duro's in the same squad so I can call them the blue man group lol, I'm thinking just brown and black nothing fancy, I'm going for cannon on rebels, for the commandos I'm going to do Multicam or woodland and when/if we get partisans I'll get more creative. Myself my buddy and our wives all play Armada and legion, I just got into x-wing my buddy has almost 1500$ sunk into x-wing lol I can't imagine how much he will pay for the conversion kits for all, anyways. My rebels I'm going for a twilight company esque theme. with partisans thrown in (He's a scum player and I just got saw's renegades so I'm going with a militia/terrorist look for the core units and the elites will get more love) so far the basic outline for the campaign I'm working on is 5 x wing missions, 3 Armada and 5 legion missions. Basic outline is down but I'm not in a rush I'm burning up PTO right now and a nice 10 day staycation.

Zahn also had it so stromtrooper armor could soak up blaster fire in one of his later books. I think it was the one where Luke and Mara go to investigate a crashed dreadnought and they deal with Thrawn and a handful of elite trained storm troopers worked alongside them.

Well, first I'd love to get a miniature of the RX series pilot droids but no they are talking about the Clone Captain Rex, the one who worked with Anakin during the Clone Wars and later the Rebellion and ended up helping fight during the battle of Endor. Its a retcon yes, but better to have him be the old guy with a beard rather than a character that with no history and was literally named after Ol' Saint Nick.

They'd make sense as a Special Forces Trooper down the line.

As of right now the Empire has 6 units to choose from. On Tabletop Admiral when you click show unreleased units, another 6 units become visible... I am so pumped! So many different combinations are about to be present in the game. I don't mind mirror matches of Empire vs Empire etc., but I do hate it when you and your opponent are running identical lists because that's what the "meta" is. This should be fixed very soon;)

If ewoks get a corps and a commander, I'll start going to organized play events, using all-ewoks, in a t-shirt that says F**k la Meta like those F**k la Mode shirts that were big in Quebec awhile back. So help me I will. If maxing out the force org chart on all available ewoks doesn't add up to 800 points, I'll do it anyways. I'll go to a tournament with 600 points.

...nope. I don't know anything about clones beyond them being genetically identical to Boba Fett (and that pains me). Except that one of them is called Fixer and I think he wears orange trim. I usually know less about something from the Star Wars prequels/cartoons, than I do about franchises such as X-Men or Star Trek which I don't even follow.
