2 Beginner Question (Suppression & Pierce 1)

By Impish1234, in Rules

maybe its clear in english rulebook but in german im a little confused

1) Suppression - All Units can get Suppression Tokens or only Troopers. For troopers the impact is clear, but if other types can get suppression i didnt found information.

2) If a 6 member group Fleet Troopers (incl. Scart Gun Trooper and Extra Fleet Trooper) attacks, can i use 6 times Scart Gun (2 red dice & Pierce 1). So in totally 12 red die and Pierce 6. That sounds very op to me. ANd its not easy to understand which keywords stacks or not.

Afaik only troopers (which includes commanders) are impacted by the effects of suppression. Vehicles do not receive suppression. See page 15 step 10. This makes further sense as vehicles have no courage value, but a damage limit instead.

No, as far as I understand it, the upgrade for the scatter gun is for a single miniature much like the Z-6 or Ion upgrade. Your attack pool as a whole would comprise of your 5 times your regular fleet troopers attack dice (10 white total) + (two red) the attack dice for the single Scatter gun trooper. The entire pool as a whole however would then gain the Pierce 1 ability.

So if you rolled one white hit, 9 white miss and 2 red miss, I believe that white would count as a pierce 1. If you rolled two hits and 10 misses, you'd have one pierce 1 hit and one regular hit etc

The pierce keyword does stack, but stacks with a unit of 1 (you have only one upgraded scatter gun trooper). Hypothetically, had your regular fleet troopers had pierce 1 then your attack pool would have pierce 5 as you have 5 fleet troopers in that unit.

page number.

The heavy weapons upgrades add a specific miniature to respective unit. therefore only that specific miniature has the special weapon.

On the contrary an upgrade as grenades is an equipment which is taken by the Whole team (including the special weapon man if you have him). So any number on models in the unit can use the specific grenade.

Any special rule ( = keyword) followed by a number is added to the dice pool as many times as number of weapons contributing to the pool that have that speciic keyword. Other keyword are applied to the pool *** a Whole.

Eg. your trooper use impact grenades with five men. you are throwing 5 grenadaes. each renade has impact 1. So your pool has impact 5.

your unit is using a flame throiwer and 4 normal pistols and a impact grenade : your dice pool has blast for all the dice (given by flamethrower) and impact 1 (given by the single grenade you are using).
