Veers & Maximum Firepower

Is Veers' Maximum Firepower attack a ranged attack? The range would make it seem so, but ranged is not called out on the card.

We were trying to figure out in game if effects like Sharpshooter and Deflect applied (we ruled that they did).

Check out page 14:

There are two types of attacks: ranged and melee.
» During a ranged attack, the attacker and defender are not in a melee, and the attacker can use only weapons that have a blue range (?, ?, ?, ?, ?) icon.
» During a melee attack, the attacker and defender are in a melee, and the attacker can use only weapons that have a red melee (?) icon.

So you would apply keywords as usual. Note that this weapon has Immune: Deflect, though, so no deflecting it. It’s essentially simulating an AT-AT firing from off the map.

Thx. Blue range indicator is the key.
