Hey guys! I'm becoming very interested in joining a PBP game. I just really don't know where to start. I also looked around for any games currently going but again, not sure where to look and can't seem to find anything.

I GM a game once a week with friends but I imagine PBP to be a little different. I really want to be a player in a Star Wars game, but no one in my real life group has the time or confidence to GM.

Any advice would be appreciated or if you guys know of any games looking for players. I'm very flexible when it comes to a PC. My only real preference would be a timeframe before TFA/TLJ.

@Rabobankrider is currently the busiest, and most welcoming GM on the forum. Check out the Cyclone Squad, Revan's War, and Kings of Nar Shaddaa PBPs, on the FaD and EotE beginner game forums.

If you want to join a TFA/TLJ era game, we just stated one called Jedi Star . Here's the preparation thread and here is the OOC and IC theads.

Thank you, will be keeping this game in mind. I'm currently reading through a few that are going on right now to get a feel for how it all works. I'll reach out if i decide to join the Jedi Star game.

Orokos demands the blood of player characters. Works is a bit of an understatement.

Gamersplane has something like 19 active games between Star Wars and Genesys right now last I checked (they presently use the same character sheets and dice roller/system designation so their a little hard to sort out).

Great thing about GP is everything is on the same site.

1. SWRPG-specific character sheets

2. IN-POST dice roller

3. Character/NPC-specific avatars

4. No sorting thru a dozen posts for your thread because every game gets its own sub-forum at GP

It's a forum purpose built for GP. No going to 3 different sites, and all that rigamarole, to play PbP.
