If you use the MPL barrage weapon in an attack (exhausting it), does the entire dice pool gain Blast ?
Impact Stacking on Fleet Troopers - Barrage MPL
Absolutely.
Catch is that while the MPL has range 1-3, to get 12 white 1 black with full blast you have to be in Range 2. Still, not bad. Add targeting scopes and aim and standby within range 2 of a trooper unit that hasn't activated yet and they're facing 13 dice with 6 rerolls while ignoring heavy cover!

Unless that trooper unit just shoots them first and cancels the standby
But yeah, tha pool is good. Hard to beat the shotgun though with pierce vs. troopers.
Where in the rrg does it say that a single trooper's weapon ability buffs the whole squad's shots. does this mean my DLT trooper confers impact on the rest of my storm trooper white dice? hand grenades are one thing bit this seems like a stretch.
Treat this as if the DLT shot dislodged a bit of metal that allowed a regular blaster shot to get in and do actual damage.
It's in the "keywords" bit, page 31.
"• Each weapon keyword adds an ability to the attack pool in
which it is included."
So if two weapons have impact 1, then the attack pool gets Impact 2
Cool thanks!

For my own clarification, the catch is that if the card says "[keyword] X" then the maximum number of die results that can get that keyword effect is X. If it just says "[keyword]" then the entire attack pool benefits? Not sure Blast ever has a number value though. And with impact grenades they are available to everyone in the attack, not just the trooper using the weapon. Is that correct?
Say speeder bikes have Impact 1. Two of them shoot: The attack pool is impact 2.
Blast has no value, thus if you use grenades, doesn't matter much if you shoot one or all (unless you're a stormtrooper).

I'm not sure if you're misunderstanding or if you worded this poorly. You do not choose a specific stormtrooper to have impact grenades, when you purchase the upgrade it adds a weapon option to every mini in the unit.
If you're asking whether the keyword given by that weapon applies to everyone in a mixed pool, that's what has already been answered above. So if you have one attack pool attacking the same target with three blaster rifles and two impact grenades, the attack pool has Impact 2.
