I don’t know if it is automatic. With my own power I have to actually declare its use to use it. So my guess would be that your power is not automatic. I investigated MM because I thought:
- MM was probably Scum
- But if I got a no read than at least I would know that an aspect of MM’s commuter claim was more likely to be true
As it was I got a full read telling me MM is indeed a commuter and is actually Town.
So having investigated all of you now I have found:
- Mads: 3rd party infiltrator
- CNinja: Town
- MM: Commuter, Town

Variations
Most Commuters cannot Commute each Night. Instead, they generally have Odd-Night or Even-Night modifiers attached.
Alternatively, they may be X-Shot and need to choose if they want to Commute each Night.

I’m afraid we’re at the end of the road here then @CaribbeanNinja because:
- whilst I’m sorry you found my Pod investigation report weak it was actually true (so we’re stuck with a he said-he said unprovable dynamic here)
- MM reads as a Town aligned Commuter per my investigation last night
- so: MM is in error about how his power is used; my scan result was given to me incorrectly; MM\Cninja\Mads can somehow appear as Town\Town\Third party whilst still being Scum; there is no more scum but the game has not ended for some reason; or I myself am lying and am actually Scum.
I can offer nothing more. I have already achieved my win condition (quite some time ago actually) but have tried my best to help serve my faction (Town). If you wish to try to lynch me then you can go ahead and vote accordingly but you will discover that you lynched Town.
I actually believe you and Moose, and still think Mads is the one we have to kill, but the commuter/scan conflict is troubles me.

I don’t see a logical argument for any one of us to be *probably* Scum. I only see circumstantial arguments for any one of us to be *possibly* Scum.
So what can we do:
- we can just start trying to lynch each other anyway (difficult given numbers)
- I can start rescanning the group to see if I get a different read on someone indicating a role change (or in the case of a No Result of some kind for MM tonight that would confirm an on night/off night commuting ability).
- I could even do this with the three of you voting for who I should scan and me accepting the majority’s wish (but it doesn’t solve the problem of me possibly lying*).
- We can consider whether there is any scenario in which a factional change can have occurred during the game (indeed, is it even possible for someone to have changed faction without even knowing it themselves!)
- We can admit to an empasse
What else?

This is essentially what the Mafia game is anyhow.
The only thing you can hard confirm is what you are. Now, I will say, that a few things are pretty evident:
- I had the Gladiator power. (proven by mod vote post)
- There have been two nights of no scum kills (Moose claiming to be a commuter makes sense. Not 100% confirmed but it makes sense)
@Lord Preyerand @MandalorianMoosefor just a while, assume you are both townies. How would it be possible for LP to scan MM as a commuter? Is there anything in your flavor or description that could help?
By the way, there are only two scenarios I believe at this point:
1. Mads is a JEDI INFILTRATOR and we are idiots for not killing a JEDI INFILTRATOR. 
2. Lord Preyer is a 3rd scum and has been stringing us along (quite well).
