Dungeon Entrance drawing?

By talismanquestions, in Talisman Rules Questions

Q: When someone stops at the dungeon entrance and enters the dungeon, do they draw cards when they move to the dungeon entrance?

Whenever you move to any space on a sideboard, you follow
the instructions on said space. If you were to end your move
on the "Dungeon Entrance" space, you will therefor draw
a card.

Just passing through will do nothing - on that space.
(You don't "stop" there.)

But in the rule book for the dungeon expansion, it says "A character may enter the Dungeon Region simply by moving directly from the Ruins space on the main board to the dungeon entrance..." That seems like you have to stop from the Ruins to the Dungeon Entrance.

Just read the example again and I think I can see where your
confusion is coming from - it says:

"The Gypsy begins her turn on the Tavern and rolls a “5” for her
move. She decides to move clockwise to the Ruins and explore
the Dungeon, by moving to the Dungeon Entrance.

The Gypsy then continues her move in the Dungeon, and finally
lands on the Tunnel."

However, this is just meant to simplify the fact that you have to move
there in order to enter said region. Unless a card gives you an
ability, you can't just encounter something or do something on a
space you are passing through before you movement is even complete.

Okay, so it's not saying you need to stop at the dungeon entrance, it's just saying you need to pass through it in order to enter the dungeon?

There are effects that can trigger if you move to
another region, which is probably why they
wanted to highlight this (as they will trigger
during you move as soon as you enter that
space), but simply said, yes.

Good to know, thanks. For such an effect, does it trigger in the middle of moving literally as soon as you enter the region, or only when you end your movement and land on the space in the other region?

Okay. Does this extend to pre-existing events that don't trigger "upon entering" the region but simply affected all players within the region, like a blizzard or siren's call?

Not sure where we are going with this.

Are you asking if the effect of the events would end if you switch regions?
