Jedi Star IC thread

By Tramp Graphics, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

"No doubt youngling... You are keen on an adventure eh? Well pick yourself off your keister and lets have at it! And Xanth I feel you may as well. Lets go!"

He hollers as he walks towards the ship.

"Well we are taking your ship correct?"

He points to the Jedi Star.

"The force has a sense of humor, just left the Glacier cold...

As ice it expands as it's heat expends...

It shrinks as it puddles, warming muddles.

Now Adapting to twists and turns..

But grows again as the heat ceases flows.

Its misty form demands more room.

Abstract but big as it fades into the expanse

Big as its form locks into a simple, concrete monolithic trance...

But suprisingly little in the middle; all the windings chances of our life's dance..."

He strides forward expecting the rest to follow.

“We need to find Xanth first,” Korath tells Drez’n. “She took off after Avalon while we were talking.”

"Come on! We are leaving!"

"We'll need some cold weather gear. Now, Jonas, I asked, what did this 'friend' of yours look like?"

Jonas stares off into the distance for a moment. "Human, or close enough anyway. Male. Dark skin and hair. Maybe a hair under two meters tall. Makes a mean gin and tonic."

Akua shrugged slightly. She had not known Elias long enough to make a solid conclusion on him, but she did feel that he was seemed to be very proud of being a Jedi and kind of liked to emphasise that.

Well, I can assure you that this quiet man is no idio t.

Akua said as she patted Exca'lure's shoulder.

Ahhh... I remember those days when he was... more outspoken.

The Miraluka then giggled.

Arvel smiles at Akua, "I accept your assurances, ma'am. With respect to this training program, when and where does it start? How long do you expect it to last? Also, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, I could use a lift there."

Arvel warmly shakes the Rodian's hand and says "Quite good, my friend, and you? I have a number of very hungry friends. I've told them you make the best burger within a thousand clicks, so please do not make me a liar!" Arvel laughs, "Not like I've ever left hear disappointed. Well, there was that girl once, but besides that..."

After dinner Elias said: this restaurant certainly lives up to your claims Arvel. Thank you very much.

I don't think that this is as formal a teaching arrangement as you are expecting, the class as it were is wherever we are, for example in hyperspace enroute to our next destination where you are likely to get hands on practice, the lessons are whatever you want to learn. Since you're not interested in becoming a jedi, you might not want lightsaber training, or how to throw a speeder with your mind.

In terms of leadership, I could teach you how to see into the future which would be useful on the battlefield, or how to know wherever anything your looking for is (useful for extracting men, or finding a target), or how to know when someone is lying to you or about to double cross you. I am hesitant to teach anyone how to manipulate the minds of others; if I'm unconvincing it means I haven't messed with your head. If you want to hone your skills in hand to hand combat for those situations when a blaster would attract too much attention, I could help with that too.

Akua and Excal'ur have different areas of focus and could teach you different things. Although I haven't known them long enough to know the extent of their abilities, I do know Excal'ur is a master healer. Being able to heal a wounded soldier by directing the flow of the force through them is something most battlefield commanders would like to be able to do for their men.

'Ah, business is not so good my friend, not so good. Nobody comes in no more! The girls left with their family a few days ago, I wept to see so many people leave the city, I really did my friend. I'll get your food right away!'

With that he would hurry behind the counter and out into the kitchen. Soon enough the room was filled with the smell of cooking, and as they spoke they were brought plates piled high with excellent cooking. It certainly didn't disappoint.

i think i hear the others wanna get them? the child says scoping a snow ball in each hand

(I think u mean Arvel? :P)

Well... it can start any time you wish. I have no real rules when it comes to that. We can even start here if you like!

The female laughed.

As to how long it will last, that depends on you young man. How much you work will change how long you work.

As Tino flies his ship towards Gorse, he sends a message to the spaceport authorities, seeking a place to land.

Gorse authorities, this is KST-100 Rogue Six. Requesting a space to land.

A series of snowballs were thrown at the boy.

Arvel nods to Elias, "Good to know, thanks. Should an area of your expertise become relevant, I will endeavor to listen."

Arvel looks off in the distance, "I have above average test scores on reactions and marksmanship, both pistol and rifle, and I have my speeder piloting cert. I also keep my uniform correctly pressed. What do you think my first lesson from your 'Jedi Academy' should be? I am ready to learn, whenever you are ready to teach, ma'am."

Arvel smiles at the barkeep, "I fear the good days are over my friend. But nothing stops us from cherishing what has been lost. Please join me in one last toast!"

Arvel looks around at the Jedi, " To Alderaan! Never again. Never forget. To the New Republic! Our government! Our future!"

backing out of the allyway the child manages to dodge some of them as he throws one ball at you and the other and the rest of the party before making more in preperation for the most epic snow fight ever

Akua cheers along with Arvel, clapping her cup against his before gulping the contents down.

Ahhhh... that's good... Hmmm... first lesson... well... I don't know.

Akua laughed.

Well, the first thing I would teach though is... that you must enjoy your time with your comrades as much as you can... spend time with them because... you never know whether it's the last chat you have with them...

The female said softly, a haunted and sad look flashing across her face for just a split second.

So eat and drink up! Let's have a good time tonight!

Chemdat drinks freely and enthusiastically. Elias imbibes at a deliberately much slower rate, to avoid impairment and a hangover.

Arvel laughs loudly, "I can drink to that!"

“Avalon!” Korath calls. “Front and center!”

Turning to the rest, “I suggest that our first stop is a local shop to pick up some cold weather gear.”

Don't drink too heavily, we're likely going to tangle with a gand and pale female twi'lek at a base in the next 24 hours, they look very dangerous so we're going to need to be in peak form. We should also try to control the when where and how of the confrontation.

Arvel chuckles, "If that is a problem for you, friend Jedi, then you clearly don't drink enough . Barkeep! Another round for those who are still enjoying themselves. And fries. We need more fries."

Akua laughed.

These fries are amazing!

She exclaimed before she dug in.

What do you mean by dangerous...?

She then asked Elias.

I saw the beginning of a confrontation between us; everyone was reaching for their weapons. The way they drew theirs, they seemed to be highly proficient. I'm guessing they would be the aggressors because I don't think that we would.

Lore for knowing about Gands findsmen : 1eA+4eP+3eD 3 successes, 3 advantage

Gand findsmen are some of the most proficient bounty hunters in the galaxy, they have a preternatural ability to locate and track targets, they attribute this to seeing visions in the mists rather than the force as we understand and practice it, but I am proficient in using the Force to much the same effect, so I'd classify gand findsmen as another force using tradition. That doesn't make their abilities or reputation any less impressive. I don't know that this gand is a findsmen, but since they are very likely the aggressors, as in they are likely hunting us, it would be a reasonable guess that he/she is a finds-man or woman. Given that the presumed findsman or woman has a twi'lek rather than another gand as a partner, that speaks volumes about the competence of the twi'lek, beyond that and the way she carried herself which also conveyed that she knew how to fight, I don't have any extra insight about the pale twi'lek.

By the way if a gand refers to themself by name in the third person it would confirm that they are highly competent. If a gand you're fighting ever says "I" or "me" then it's time to run. Gand are born without having names, they have to earn the right to have a name, and if they say "I" it means everyone is expected to know who they are without them saying their own name.

I'd like that. I know a little about a lot of things and a lot about ancient history, force using traditions, and the cultures they originate in. When I originally left my homeworld i did so with the purpose of learning all I could from Masters Luke Skywalker and Korath Lorren, so I could bring that knowledge back to my tribe. Having access to a holocron at the time helped. Knowing a lot also helps to make educated guesses based on limited information, and that helps one to be prepared and therefore to survive.
