Oops...

She said before she giggled slightly.

Tino would look at the female Pantorian as she left, his eyes followijg her every motion.

Aris trailed the group, she dropped a piece of paper and pantomimed "call me" with her comlink.

"Right so, what noo mates? Nae offence but I deh hink you're freend is gonna help much Mr Turkay"

“Master Jonas,” Korath says soberly. “If you will, gather his remains and prepare them for transport and burial. We’re taking him home. The rest of you, let’s see what Jedi artifacts we can find that we can add to the library. We need to recover any we can if we’re going to rebuild the Jedi Order.”

Jonas looks at Korath and nods, "Korath, you are one cool cat. I got the burial transport. The rest of you turkeys see what else my brother left."

Oh...

As Korath moves out into the dark of the great chamber his footsteps echo eerily around everyone. As he searches he finds what looks like a rather ornate stone and metal cabinet that stood taller and wider than a full person. However its doors stood open, torn apart in a similar manner to the main door to the place. Is contents had been taken, leaving only a few pieces of shattered glass and a couple of spilled vials. The contents had long since dried into a crust over the shelf. It seemed that the old empire had taken everything of interest in the place, leaving only the body, the computer and the lightsaber. Just as Korath is about to turn away though, he notices something. The light from the glow rod catches what looks like a seam, a split running along the back of the cabinet. It could be easily missed or mistaken as a part of the structure, but this looked like something else.

“Master Jonas,” Korath calls. “ A moment, if you will.” Korath points out the seam along the back of the cabinet. “What do you think? Secret compartment?”

Jonas heads over and looks at the seam. "Far out, Korath," he says. "Brother might have kept his stash back here. Let's see if we can get this open."

“Let’s not and say we did,” Korath replies sardonically. Turning back to the task at hand, Korath gets back to work.

On Gorse, Reesh would glance around the deserted base with a slight humph emitting through his ammonia breather. He would turn back to Arissa and speak in his tinny voice. 'Reesh is going to look around, see if there is any sign of our quarry. Maybe you can check the bases computers, or check for anything else that may help'.

With that he set out from their entry point to make his way methodically through the empty rooms of the republic structure. With the leadership gone most of these rooms and corridors had been stripped clean, making it difficult to spot anything that would help track their would be targets.

After some snooping around however, Reesh's skills for the hunt were put to good use. Someone was here, or at least had been here recently. There were empty ration packs in the bins, and bedding folded neatly on one bunk. Reesh would reach for his com to conatc Arissa as he surveys the bunk room. 'Reesh thinks this base is, or was very recently in use. Maybe not a force user, but it's a start Reesh supposes'. Seeing everything he deemed important he makes to leave the room, but pauses as he sees a set of names stencilled on the wall near the door. Most names had been scratched off, perhaps when the other soldiers had left, but one remained. 'Lt. Venn, who are you?' Reesh would mutter to himself. He had a name, but the Gand would need a little more information if the mists would help him find this person.

"Might I be of service with that?"

“Be my guest,” Korath replies, stepping back. “Have at it.”

Elias: I think we've waited long enough for someone else to stop by. How about we go shopping to buy parts to make the devices, and I'll want to pick up some zip ties as well as some fabric to make clothes that will blend in in civilized environments a bit better than what I'm wearing now. It'll cost about 300 credits each, if you're short I could loan you some of that. Tino and Jar, do you have an idea about what you want your handle to look like?

Chemdat: I'm going to head back to the shuttle and sit this one out, see ya. With that Chemdat walks out of the cantina.

Arvel snorts and then quickly catches himself , "Elias, there are perfectly good clothing shops on Gorse that will sell you, less... conspicuous attire for a reasonable price. Unless of course, your 'culture' requires you to make all of your clothing by hand."

Elias: unless gorse is very different than the other civilized worlds I've visited, the level of protection and ability to customize that I'm looking for is not available at a reasonable price. What I'm wearing now is made from the armored hide of a reptilian predator native to my homeworld. You can feel it if you like, it provides significantly better protection than stormtrooper armor. The typical method of killing the beast is shooting an arrow into its brain through an eye faster than it can blink. My kill was significantly easier because I had this.

Elias pats his saber underneath his cloak.

I'm looking for equivalent protection in more discrete package. Im planning to make a discreet set of clothing that is customizable, buy a set of armor inserts and install them... those are still a thing I'm assuming.... to provide the protection I'm after. Surviving takes planning and preparation.

Arvel replies, "My apologies. When you said, 'clothes' I thought you meant 'clothes' not 'body armor.' One of those charming cultural differences, I'm sure. If armor is what you want, there might be some back at the Republic base."

Elias: I believe that the technically correct term for what I'm looking for would be "armored clothing." To use a metaphor, the nail that sticks up gets hammered down. I'd rather not get hammered for sticking out and in the civilized portions of the galaxy, wearing armor attracts attention, probably about as much attention as what I'm wearing now. The last time I was off world, which was about 8 and a half Coruscant years ago, I'd learned about armored plates, usually made of plasteel, that were designed to be sewn into ordinary clothing to provide that level of protection. Surprisingly they were about half the cost of a professionally made suits of armored clothing. I didn't get them at the time because I was about to head home.

He studies the lock for a good while.

"The mechanism isn't the only component here... I'm missing something. Ah yes! What would a Jedi use?"

Picking up on that, Korath closes his eyes and focuses. within moments, the mechanism activates and the compartment slowly begins to open revealing...

As Korath reaches out with the force the seam in the case creaks and groans. Thin cracks begin to form in the wooden surface, stretching out like spider webs throughout the surface. It continues to spread and intensify till the back of the case simply crumbles into dust around the jedi's feet.

As the dust settles there is a small alcove built into the wall of the temple, and within that is an ancient looking item. It can best described as a torc, made of tarnished silver. It looks as if three thick strands of the metal have been twisted together, and knotted at the end with a rather elegant pattern. Jonas would remember his old ally wearing this item around his neck, but had never discovered what it was.

Jonas picks up the silver torc and turns it over in his hands. He says, "Brother always wore this. Never knew why. Suppose it don't matter now."

"Must be valuable bling if hes hidin it right gid. Is it...." Xanth waves her hands palms forward "Ken?"

when you finish faffing around with the safe you find yourself one man down as avalon has no doubt gotten bored and wandered off
