Jedi Star IC thread

By Tramp Graphics, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

As the snow and rubble is removed from the front of the crevice in the glacier is shifted by the power of the force, the party is faced with an odd sight. Before them stood a door, towering high above them, and broad enough to fit a medium sized walker in easily enough. Yet the door was not intact, the centre had been down apart, as if by an explosion. Twisted metal bent inwards violently and scattered the interior just beyond the door. A little further behind it was inky blackness, what was inside the door was impossible to tell from this distance. Was a jedi really in there?

On Gorse Aris's father would sigh heavily. 'You want to be like me? Be like me. Bet high, go big, get your work done'. He'd sigh as he picks up one of the shirts from the table before tossing it on the floor with a look of frustration. 'Don't mess with the local boys when we are trying to get off of this world!'

One of the crew mates would glance at the newcomers, and would give Tino a particularly sour look as they move towards the bar. There is no keeper there to serve drinks, so the crew help themselves while the captain and his daughter argue.

"That doesn't look good," Korath comments ruefully. "Avalon! don't go rushing off! We don't know what's in there!"

Pulling out his comlink, Korath key's the Jedi Star. "Auto," he says. "Bring the ship to our location, but do not land. circle the area and remain on standby watch. We may need a pickup in a hurry an I want the ship near by just in case."

"You all ready?" Korath asks as he puts the comlink away. "Be careful, this could be trouble. Everyone keep their senses up and watch for any danger."

With that, Korath enters the cavern.

"Never said nowt boot me no rushin mate, an' its probably warmer in there than oot here." Xanth walks quickly in front of the party to get inside fast as possible.

(perception? Vigilance check?)

What a wonderful and vigorous hike! Oh... This is no good.

Jonas shakes his head, "This looks like some bad poodoo." He pauses for a moment to focus himself.

Aris: Pops it's kind of hard to bet high and go big when I don't have many credits in my pocket and anyone with the credits to leave already has. If they had had credits I would have taken them instead of their clothes. And the point was to improve my skills so that I'll win when I eventually do have the credits to bet high and go big. And that would come sooner if you'd kick a few more credits my way, we move valuable cargo where others can't or won't, you're the best at what you do and I learned from the best. If I had my own ship I'd be earning more credits than I do now, I know what we do it pays well.

Elias: Pardon me sir and maam, but I couldn't help but overhearing. if you'd like to buy another ship, one that can take you where others can't or won't go, one that could help you avoid first order entanglements in the future, we have one we're trying to sell at a discounted price. The circumstances under which we acquired it were entirely justified if not completely legal.

Aris eyes Elias over: No offense but you're boring and entirely too polished, I'm not sure if I could tell if you were lying to us, if you want to pitch an offer have him she points at Tino do it, he doesn't look like he'd be a great liar. So...

she purrs as she saunters sexily over to Tino

what's the deal, cutie?

(Aris is trying to get Tino flustered so that he'll flub any lies he tells, she's also wants to get a mild rise out of her overprotective dad, who would know both of her purposes for this line of action)

Echoing from inside what's this thing? *Crash*

Korath pulls out his glow rod and activates it as he cautiously enters the cavern, pointing the light down the hallway towards Avalon. "And this is why you need to be more careful, and mindful of what I tell you," he tells the boy. "Now, get back over here with the rest of us and keep together."

Tino blushes abit as he smiles nervously.

Uh. Hi... We uh. Have a first order ship to sell... I guess.

Aris smiles and looks deep into his eyes, almost touching noses with Tino, and asks: what type of ship? How did you get it? Is it damaged? Why do you want to sell it? How do you plan to leave Gorse after you sell it?

Well... uh... maybe we could... talk in a more private area?

Tino then asked as he smiled.

Aris: My Pops who is standing right there, wouldn't approve of me going off on my own with a cutie like you, at least not until he had a reason to trust you, so you're going to have to answer the questions right here and if you're worried about the boys I was playing sabaac with,

Aris waves here hand in a circle and snaps. Her Pops' crew look quizzically at him, Pops nods, and they toss the partially clothed sabaac players and any other third parties out of the cantina, when the last one had been ejected Aris continues

Aris: So where were we? Oh that's right, you were about to answer my questions. Go on, I'm waiting. And answer truthfully because I'll know if you're lying.

Tino took a deep breath before he began to talk.

We have a first order shuttle. It’s not damaged, at least I don’t think it is. How we got it, you have to ask them, as I only got here recently and met them here.

He jabbed his thumb at Elias and the rest

Aris: would I be correct to assume that you're giving them a ride off world? If so, what kind of ship do you fly? What's your next stop and what are they giving you in exchange for the ride?

I uh... well... maybe I can... show you instead? My ship?

Tino asked as he smiled sheepishly.

(lol, ngl, i forgot what my ship was)

Kark would watch the others plough ahead of him through the snow into the ominous looking entrance. 'This is crazy' he'd mutter to himself. 'We're definitely going to die, or get eaten and then die. No one will find us'. With that he would tramp after them. As move into the darkness the only light was from the glow stick held by Korath. The floor was littered with snow and dust and shrapnel from whatever tore the door open. It was eerily quiet as the wind falls silent from the outdoors.

The would find themselves in a long hallway, the ceiling stretching up into the blackness, and the side walls only just visible. They were simple, made of carved stone and plasteel for structural support. The floor was flagstones, virtually unused. Their footsteps and voices would echo loudly with every reverberation. The further they move inside, it almost seems to get darker. Suddenly, Avalon would trip, causing a loud crashing noise as the others move through the entrance. As the light from Korath follows him, the source of the obstacle is revealed. It is a body, long dead by the looks of it. It wears white laminate armour, but not in the style of the first order, it was something older than that. There was a large slice mark on the chest piece of the body, clearly the source of death. What had happened hear?

On Gorse the captain would sigh heavily. 'We're not doing this now, go and get your stuff so we can load the ship'. He would turn however as the strangers approach with an odd proposal. He and his crew would give the newcomers a distrustful look. perhaps due to their openness. 'You want to conduct business' Ariss's father would stomp forwards and clamp a hand on Tino's shoulder. It felt like getting trapped in a turbolift door. 'You want to talk business pretty boy, you can do it here, with me'. With that he would push the Chiss down into a near by chair, the captain looming over him. 'Now, why would I want buy a first order shuttle?'

Is this who we are looking for?

"No," Korath replies, as he crouches down to examine the body. "It's a Stormtrooper; an Imperial Stormtrooper. If I had to guess, the Empire found this place a long time ago. It's likely that whoever was hidden here was found by the Emperor's Inquisition."

"Let's go," he says standing back up. "And Avalon, stay by my side. This place is not safe. Who knows what other dangers we may find."

Xanth takes the helmet off the skeletal remains and pops it on here head "Oi, look I'm a Imperial trooper! These aren't the droids I'm looking for!"

“Really?” Korath comments sardonically with one eyebrow raised. “Come on. Enough horsing around.

“Kids,” he sighs, rolling his eyes.

"I'm no a kid" Xanth says as she takes off tye helmet and lets it clatter to the floor, the sound echoing through the structure.

“How old are you, kid?” Korath asks. “Nineteen, twenty? Maybe a little more?” Korath’s eyes bore into her. “I’m old enough to be your father. So, yes, compared to me, you’re still a kid.”

Korath turns and takes point, “Now come on. We don’t have time for anymore goofing around.”

“Amen,” Korath replies.

Tino took a deep breath.

Well sir, it would definitely help, because it would give you access to places that you normally cannot go to. You can use it once, switch the ship id, then use it at another place. Keep repeating that and making sure that no one is tracking the ship specifically, and you’ll be able to dupe the First Order whenever you want.
