As the shuttle rockets towards the atmosphere the sensors begin to flash with a warning message. A squadron of small vessels are heading right for them at breakneck speed. They may be able to make it to hyperspace before they arrive, but it was going to require some quick computer work from the co-pilot. Otherwise they are going to have to try and fight their way out, and that is not an ideal scenario.

They may be able to make it to hyperspace before they arrive, but it was going to require some quick computer work from the co-pilot. Otherwise they are going to have to try and fight their way out, and that is not an ideal scenario.

Elias quickly evaluated his options in light of the superior speed of the squadron of fighters and their current distance from the shuttle

1) if he made a beeline for space he'd get there before the fighters, but if Excal'ur didn't have the hyperspace jump coordinates ready, well they'd survive their attack until he did.

2) fly away from the fighters to give excal'ur more time to compute the jump coordinates, but that'd also mean that they'd be in atmosphere longer and ensure the fighter's had a narrow window of opportunity to take potshots at them.

Elias chose option 3, which was somewhere in between, based on the rate the fighters were closing, Elias eyeballed a trajectory that angled away from the fighters and would allow them to enter firing range just after the shuttle exited the atmosphere. Elias' bet paid off, Excal'ur came through with the jump coordinates mere seconds before the fighters acquired a targeting lock, and Elias was already engaging the hyperdrive as the claxons in the shuttle's cockpit screeched their warning.

The shuttle dramatically accelerated as the star lines blurred causing the fighters shots to miss by a large distance but by only a fraction of a second. The star lines faded to be replaced by the familiar swirl of hyperspace. About a minute out, Elias dropped them back into real space in deep space far beyond the confines of Dantooine's system.

Elias said: to others, we now got enough breathing room to safely calculate our next. Jump, Akua suggested Gorse... do you have any objection to that Excal'ur? If not would you do the honors in the mean time I'm going to try to find a tracking device in case Karr lojacked his ship.

The adrenaline from their narrow escape still coursing through his veins clouded his first attempt to use the force to locate a tracking device aboard the shuttle

"So I've been found eh?"

He smiles before turning serious.

"The ripple extends from maker to shore...

You may interfere of course, to obscure cause and course

Now what once was isolated and small is now obvious and much more..."

He strokes his beard contemplating.

"...or another way to say it is the search if a prerequisite to hiding, for If you don't hide com somobe looking you are heat merely wherever you are.

Who are you, not names but who are you really? What gives you the idea you two could make this happen?"

"The First Order... or any other remnant of the Empire well be much more difficult to deal with than a young man with poor impulse control and bad manners. What makes you capable?"

Jonas smiles at the dig at Korath, " I like the way you think, brother! The Empire has risen and fallen in my lifetime and they ain't got me yet, dig? And Korath, well, he might be a **** mentor to impressionable children, but he did what the Empire couldn't --- find me. Can you dig it?"

"By dig, do you mean the metaphorical hole you've made for yourselves which you now have to extricate yourselves from? I will refrain from such digging... However I must help. It is not a voice buy the will of the force... May it help straighten the path in front of... Us."

He sighs a bit having included himself in this situation.

"First however I must understand who you all are. A trial must be passed. The force will present such an opportunity. Till then I'm sympathetic but unconvinced. The Jedi Order, has not always represented our traditions well. Many poor decisions. Too close to power not close enough to the people... However i imagine our scarcity might prevent that danger."

He paces before continuing.

"Fine, I will accompany you as I have descended from my isolation because of a coming need, an opportunity, whose to say this isn't just that. However its not certain. I will join you to pass such judgment!"

His face relaxes into a smile.

"It is settled then. Collect your errant Youngling, perhaps he is your test... Korath, that was your name?"

"We're Jedi," Korath responds. "I found Jonas here on Manaan. I just came from there after a trip to Kathrene following an "excursion" to Kamino."

"Actually, I find taking down Dark Siders to be much, much easier," Korath says glibly. "Believe me. I've taken a few down in my day. You can kill Dark Siders in battle, if needed. That's really not something you want to do to students. Unruly students require a lot more patience . If my suspicions are correct, we're dealing with a former Inquisitor named Mathis Karr. He and I have a long history. I've taken down a few of his Dark Side followers in the past, including one recently on Kamino."

Leaning forward, Korath continues. "Regardless, we're much more likely to survive and defeat them if we work together. The more Jedi we have the better off we are. Not only that," he says pointing with his thumb back towards the Jedi Star . "I have the facilities to train students that you might not have. It's also mobile. And I'm sure you have skills and resources which would be assets to training the next generation as well."

"Korath Lorren," He replies, holding out his hand. "Itinerant Jedi."

Finishing his meal, Korath stands up. "Do you have anything you need to collect before we depart? And, what of your associates?"

"Many possible truths you speak, each seed holds a tree, each possible truth could sprout or fail depending on favorability of the conditions. So we will see what comes to pass."

He laughs a deep belly laugh as Korath outstreches his hand.

"Drez'n Bercilak, keeper of the Corellian Jedi Traditions."

He gives you one very intense hand shake.

"I do not know those two well, one seems much like your youngling... Both have a tie to the force but who knows how deep... Who knows if either wishes to cultivate this tie, or it'd they have the discipline to do so. I was... Investigating the possibilities... You are welcome to ask them..."

He says as he focuses his attention on what he thought was two people... Noticing one has left he raises an eyebrow.

"I must warn you, I am no master. But I have studied... Perhaps we should collect those who wish to go, before more trouble is found!"

He double checks the bill was paid adds a few credits to the tip. He grabs a satchel and throws it over his shoulder.

"I have collected my things."

"Welcome aboard," Korath replies, shaking his hand firmly. "Now, let's go find our wayward companions."

Turning to the young Verpine, he asks, "Are you joining us?"

'Joining you?' Kark would echo. He had been watching the gathering with wide eyes as he saw the ancient weapons and heard the talk of jedi and the force. He had always been fascinated with such things, but had never had any real interactions with such things. 'Why would you want me along? I'm not a jedi or nothing, I mean I think it's all very interesting, but I can't do much with it, or anything really.'

“If what Master Drez’n here said is true,” Korath replies. “You could become one, if you wish. It’ll be rigorous training, and it’s not an easy life, but it has its rewards.”

Satisfied that there were no tracking devices on board the shuttle, Elias returned to the cockpit and said, unless there's something else that's needs to be handled first let's head to... Gorse was it, Akua.

On the trip there Elias and Chemdat ditched their scout trooper disguise for their own apparel, although they kept the blaster pistols, and searched the shuttle for any useful gear and credits that had been left behind by the previous occupants.

About a day later the emerged from hyperspace. Gorse was a tidally locked planet whit a single moon. There appeared to be two spaceports on the night side. Elias asked Akua which of the two they shouldn't dock at and then requested for permission to land from the traffic control station.

As they descended, Elias asked Akua, "so how are we going to find these Resistance members you spoke of? Maybe they'd be interested in swapping rides with us. I imagine having a first order shuttle would be useful to them and I'd like something that blends in a little less conspicuous."

"Yes, that... I was just getting to that before our breakfast was interrupted. You may have a connection to the force. You could become a knight who could help defend the galaxy from evil. However you'd become a different person. You'd have to cut the fat and grizzle from your bones. Toss the worst, firm up the best. You'd be a monk, a master of self. It requires immense sacrifice, self discipline and a steadfast dedication to good, good itself in the rawest sense, it will dominate your life, it will shape you in everyway and you will become better for it. That is, if you are in fact tied to the force as I suspect!"

"You have heard of the Jedi my good man?"

He stares intently at Kark.

(Just as a description of what kark and the rest would be looking at right now.)

The "looming" Drall, tall for his species which is not saying much. He just shy of 5ft tall. However he's about 4ft wide. Broad shouldered and barrel chested. His eyes big and dark. Age has streaked and speckled his reddish-orange fur with grey and white, giving it a merle-ish quality. Ending in his long braided beard, it all flowed and intermingled with his wild hair, spilling over his chest.

His shoulders supported a thick cape and cowl, and a hood flopped behind his shoulders. It was a dark murky green, the earthy color of moss in the shadows of a forest. Its well lined. Dark gold, green and burnt orange emblems hide along the edges.

His thickly booted feet over sized for his short legs. A layered tunic falls to his knees, a more saturated green then his cloak lined in other earth tones. It is belted at the waist, various pouches hang from it including one which a jedi might suspect as saber's sheath.

His side satchel full of various tombs of knowledge peaking out of the bulging seams. The "sack" he slung over his shoulder is twice the size of a spacers duffle. When he slung it, it made a loud clanking sound as its currents banged around.

As he edited for Kark's response he pulled on the cigar butt dangling from the corner of his mouth. The smoke wafting over his face, occasionally swaying from the brisk morning breeze.

Arvel Venn couldn't believe his bloodshot eyes: A shuttle with a First Order a transponder was coming in for a landing on Gorse. In a moment of youthful bravado, coupled with the desperation of having sit alone in the abandoned base for weeks, Arvel punches the comm for the shuttle and says, "First Order shuttle. This is Lieutenent Venn of the Republic Army. You are attempting to land on a Republic world and you are *not* welcome. Leave now."

It was only when Arvel clicked the mic off that he realized how stupid he was...

"Chill, slim," Jonas says to Korath. "We ain't goin nowhere yet. There's another Jedi on this planet. Or at least there was. We're gonna find him. Drez'n, you know anything about that?"

"The force has been talkative lately, many ripples dance in is steam, I thought it was from you all here, but maybe not. Tell me about this Jedi?"

Elias smiled as he continued to descend to the civilian bay they'd been cleared to dock at, if nothing else the Lieutenant's name wa as enough for Elias to seek him out through the force. He asked Akua, do you know someone else here or should we seek out this Lieutenant Venn when we land?

Minutes later the shuttle touched down. The jedi and Ysanna gathered their gear and Elias sought for Lieutenant Venn through the force

Reesh would watch the twi'lek closely as they talks, and after a moment he would shrug. 'Reesh is intrigued to see how this will go. It seems you have a deal. So, do you have a plan on how to find a force user?' This would be the first real test of any hunter looking to get patronage from the queen here.

On Dantooine the party finds the shuttle empty aprat from themselves, and starting it up is an easy business. However, the roar of the engines firing up in the ship attract some unwanted attention. The dark force user spins around, and seeing his shuttle being stolen his face twists in animal fury. He sprints back towards the landing pad but the shuttle is already rising into the air and turning to depart.

With a roar of anger Matthis raises a hand and a large section of wall from a shattered building near by judders into the air. With a flick of his wrist the projectile fizzes through the air, spinning violently as it is launched at the shuttle. The occupants feel it explode as it crashes into the side of the shuttle, but the armour of the craft protects them from damage.

The com unit would be quick to respond to Elias's message as the village rapidly shrinks behind them. 'Windrider! If you think I am done you are woefully mistaken. I will burn this entire planet till there is nothing but ash left! I will find you, I will find your master and I will take what is mine! You hear me!'

"I have my ways. But I believe a Findsman also has his. So I'll show you mine if you show me yours." Another dazzling smile was shot at the Gand.
