"Oh, don't worry," Korath says as he walks back to the table, a smirk on his face. "There's plenty of work for him on the ship. For now, let's eat and discuss why we came here. Avalon, sit down and eat your breakfast."

Avalon doesn't let his suprise stop him as he continues his way to the door outside

You couldn't tell it by looking at him, or so he hoped, because the only emotions chemdat ever wore on his proverbial sleeve were annoyance, frustration, anger, and determination, but that chill of the grave feeling had set him on edge. He might have bolted for the speeders if Elias hadn't been confidently leading them forward. He almost sped up to match when Elias got a few steps ahead but stopped himself, Elias had a plan he always had a plan, and a bunch of contingencies to back it up, and Chemdat knew his older brother wouldn't leave him behind. If Elias wanted a little distance between them it meant... what come on... Elias was going to flank the man in black from behind in case he reacted when Chemdat passed him... Elias had figured out that the man had sensed him previously... and for that to work meant Elias knew that the man hadn't sensed Elias. so to help Elias pull this off with maximum effectiveness Chemdat had to slow down just enough for Elias to be completely behind the man and out of his peripheral vision, and Chemdat had to be ready to be a good distraction if the man reacted when chemdat passed him. And nothing attracted attention like a lightsaber. Chemdat had followed Elias' example earlier and stowed his saber at a place in the scout trooper pack where it was hidden from view but easy to retrieve. Chemdat didn't have confidence in his own ability to get out of this mess but he knew his brother could and would. As... was it Akua... moved to match Elias' pace Chemdat discreetly bumped elbows with her and gave a slight shake of his head and patted the pack pocket holding his saber to try to nonverbally communicate to her that there was a combat plan that involved Elias being a few steps ahead.

“If he doesn’t want to eat, it’s his loss,” Korath sighs. “You can lead a bantha to water...”

Sitting down, Korath finally digs in to his meal. “The name’s Korath Lorren,” he says to Drez’n between mouthsfull. “This is Jonas Shaff. We’re looking for other Jedi and Force sensitives to rebuild the order in the face of the First Order threat. You’re in danger here.”

“ I managed to acquire a dossier from a First Order outpost,” he continues after taking a drink. “Your name and face were on it, along with a few others. So, they won’t be too long in coming here, especially if the one who put this dossier together is who I think he is. I’d like your help finding these people and any others we could train.”

Arissa places her hand on the Gands.

"Oh, so many things I can do for you that no one else can."

A smile that could melt a comet in deep space followed.

Will flip a destiny point and take strain to be able to use the lightside pips to make it 1 net success and 3 advantage.

Avalon's escape from the kitchen would followed by a string of shouting and cursing as a ladle sales over his head, crashing into the wall as it narrowly misses him. As the rushes outside the barkeeper glares at the table of travellers that had come with him. 'I see that little swine in here, I'm calling the law!'

As Avalon escapes and emerges into the biting cold of the village, he would find himself alone again. His footprints are seen clearly on the snow behind him, and ahead of him he can see the mighty forest that sits at the base of the glacier fields. Before the tree line were a few of the other mounds that made the drall homes. There was no one else in the streets at this time, at least that he could see.

On Tatooine Tino heres a sigh come from Loosa over the com. 'Yeah, I was trying to warn you about them but I didn't know what time you came in at. Those two amateurs keep trying to hit our cargo coming in but they always bolt before they can do any real harm. Anyway, you have a new job to deal with, so stow the cargo in the hanger and be sure to lock up before you leave this time!'

She would pause a moment before continuing, this time in a somewhat more secretive tone. 'So I don't know how much you've heard while you were on your way here, but this First Order lot just went and declared full on war with the republic. I don't know how much truth there is, but we're hearing rumours about some planet buster like what the empire had. We've not been able to raise any of our people on Hosnian Prime, or Condular. Anyway the resistance seems to be in full retreat all across the galaxy. There's a base on Gorse we know about, and we're pretty sure it's abandoned. We want you to head there and clear out whatever equipment they have left. You think you can sort this? There's a good bonus in it for you'.

I'd like Xanth to follow if you don't mind.

Wrong Thread.

Taken a back with the fact that he is alone in this town Avalon takes his prize to a warm alley and starts eating

Xanth had saw the small lad taking stuff. She'd seen the kind often in the orphanage. And they were much more fun to be around than these old gasbags. She headed outside and followed the small foot steps till there he was munching on his ill gotten gains.

"Oi, you. Five finger discount eh? Lible tae get a beatin' for that."

Avalon would stair at you with curiousity and a touch of hostility as he gripped his food more tightly

"Fair do's, wee yin." She shrugs and sits down on some nearby structure, elbow on a knee and palm to her chin. "So. Whey're thame auld tossers yer whey? Seem boring".

Elias was prepared to flank Matthis Karr from behind if it came that as a last resort, but his first course of action was a diversion... without breaking his stride or gesturing, Elias telekinetically puppeted 2 scout troopers who as a pair were a bit distant from the rest of the first order troops, one of the troopers swiped his hand in the direction of Karr appearing to use the Force to throw a roughly human sized chunk of debris at Karr that Elias also telekinetically hurled, whether it connected or not was immaterial it just had to come close enough to make Karr dodge or at least flinch, then the 2 scout troopers turned and appeared to one after the other each make 2 force enhanced leaps, finally landing gently next to the parked speeder bikes and behind cover from all first order troops within Elias' field of view. In the ensuing chaos Elias and Chemdat snuck aboard the shuttle with the other 2 jedi following them.

'Got you' Karr would growl as he sees the pair of troopers apparantly leap to safety after being discovered. 'After them! I want them alive! Go!' he would roar at his men. The storm troopers would dash in the direction of the distraction, all of them falling for it as the square rapidly begins to empty. Matthis Karr follows at a slower rate, pausing at the edge of the square.

The jedi would be able to creep up towards the boarding ramp easy enough with their distraction giving them a much needed break. The ship is dark save for a few pulsating lights here and there. They don't even need to hotwire the vessel. It looks like they weren't planning on having the ship stolen, or they may have disabled it. Still, they had to act fast, the ruse would only last so long and Elias knew all too well the danger they were still in.

Elias was first up the ramp with saber in hand and quickly glanced

in the passenger compartment to check for occupants before sliding into the pilot's seat in the cockpit. he quickly familiarized himself with the controls, and started an abbreviated preflight warm up sequence.

As the others boarded Elias had called out, Akua please check the passenger compartment to make sure nobody's hiding back there and don't forget the fresher, chemdat man the guns if the guy with the saber starts heading in our direction fire with everything at your disposal otherwise don't attract attention, and Excal'ur can you start using this navicomputer to have some out of system nearby deep space coordinates ready as soon we clear the gravity well, basically just away from anything we could crash into we'll calculate a second set of coordinates once we have some breathing room?

Moments later Excal'ur slapped the landing ramp control panel sealing the hatch and scrambled for the copilot seat as Elias pulled back on the yoke while shoving the throttle forward. As the ship rocketed skyward in the direction opposite the big cap ship in orbit, Elias opened the comm while also raising the shields, over the open channel he broadcast the following message

Elias: Greetings Matthis Karr, thank you for donating your shuttle to help us escape. I'm sure you realize that we could have easily killed you just now using this ship's guns, however, we chose to spare your life because needless killing is not the jedi way. In return I ask you to spare the lives of the 2 scout troopers that I telekinetically puppeted to send you on wild mynock chase as a diversion. As evidence that those 2 troopers are not willing participants in our escape, and as you will undoubtedly hear from another 2 scout troopers walking back from the crash site of the star fighter where I ambushed them using their own speeder bikes as weapons, there are 4 of us, and we are all aboard this shuttle, will the rest of you sound off without giving your names so Karr can hear 3 voices besides mine?

Chemdat: yo

@Rabobankrider what's the difficulty and modifiers for the there's 4 of us deception check (to throw them off of Teeto's trail assuming he survived?)

...

Elias: My apologies for accidentally killing 4 of the 6 scout troopers I ambushed at the crash site, my intent was to take them all down before any could report they were under attack so we could use their uniforms as a disguise. I was expecting there would be some serious injuries but I didn't think there would be that many if any casualties. You might want try being quite a bit less over the top with your villainy, the problem with being the opposite of subtle is it's easy to see you coming from lightyears away and that makes you easy to avoid, but I don't expect you to fall for the same set of tricks again because Korath Lorren always spoke highly of your capabilities, so maybe we'll cross sabers next time. Oh and Korath sends his regards, I'll tell him we crossed paths the next time I see him. See you around Matthis.

Elias turned off the Mike so the enemy couldn't hear anymore of what was said on board the shuttle, and check the scanners for incoming fighters....

Reesh would watch the twi'lek closely as they talks, and after a moment he would shrug. 'Reesh is intrigued to see how this will go. It seems you have a deal. So, do you have a plan on how to find a force user?' This would be the first real test of any hunter looking to get patronage from the queen here.

On Dantooine the party finds the shuttle empty aprat from themselves, and starting it up is an easy business. However, the roar of the engines firing up in the ship attract some unwanted attention. The dark force user spins around, and seeing his shuttle being stolen his face twists in animal fury. He sprints back towards the landing pad but the shuttle is already rising into the air and turning to depart.

With a roar of anger Matthis raises a hand and a large section of wall from a shattered building near by judders into the air. With a flick of his wrist the projectile fizzes through the air, spinning violently as it is launched at the shuttle. The occupants feel it explode as it crashes into the side of the shuttle, but the armour of the craft protects them from damage.

The com unit would be quick to respond to Elias's message as the village rapidly shrinks behind them. 'Windrider! If you think I am done you are woefully mistaken. I will burn this entire planet till there is nothing but ash left! I will find you, I will find your master and I will take what is mine! You hear me!'

Chemdat responded to Karr's attack and threat by taking a pot shot at the ex inquisitor.

It came close enough to hitting that Matthis got showered with debris. Chemdat let out a Ysannan curse at his bad luck out of frustration.

There's no one here!

Akua yelled as she scrambled back to the cockpit, settling in one of the seats.

So uh. If we have no where to go, I remember there is a New Republic base at Gorse. We can head there if you want

She then smiled at the males.

Elias: no objection here but let's still jump out of system quickly then calculate a second jump to gorse, changing directions between jumps to make it harder for them to guess our destination. I'd actually recommend 3 jumps, the second one getting us to within a few hundred lightyears, to give us time to search for a tracking device during the second jump.
