Jedi Star IC thread

'You know you're not in charge of me right?' the droid would snap over the comm as there is the sound of whirring in the background. 'You've got eyes and arms, it's not like you couldn't do this stuff'. There would be a pause before Hacker appears on the comm again. 'I need to know where we're going next if you want me to programme that in, or is that a job too important for a simple droid to do'. He seemed a bit snippier than usual, but with Hacker, it was always tricky to tell. By the time that the party arrives at the ship hanger the noise of the engines rumbling deep in the bowels of the ship can be clearly hear, ready to go.

Jonas says to Korath, "Jedi, huh? Who sent you? Was it that green-skinned devil, Yoda? Is he going to give a Brother payback for the war? Start talikn'!"

"Never met Master Yoda," Korath says. "Master Skywalker talked about him some times, but that's all I know of him. My master was Master Oruk Ryu Ken. Now, I can debrief you fully once we're in hyperspace."

Turning, Korath enters the docking bay, and heads to one of the ships docked there and, reaching out, enters the code on a security pad, to lower the entry ramp. Now, that Jonas' eyes have cleared up, he can finally get a look at his companion. He sees a man apparently in his mid forties, with long brown hair, worn loose, brown eyes, and a greying beard. He wears a loose white open collared shirt laced up the front with a draw string, black pants, and soft soled over-the-calf black swede boots. Over this he has a pleated black wool surcoat, bound by a Jedi utility belt, with his lightsaber hanging by a metal O-ring at his left hip. On top of all of this is a slate grey outer robe with a very voluminous hood.

In front of Jonas, he sees a large silver ship of unfamiliar model, with gold trim. It's a little under 55 meters in length and well armed from the looks of it. He can tell it's of Corellian make, but, other than that, it's a model he has never seen before.

"Right now, I've gotta get this boy in a bunk and heal his injuries," Korath reiterates, turning back to Jonas. "You're welcome to come along. I'm looking for more Jedi."

Jonas responds, "Anakin Skywalker ? Poodoo. He made Master?! ****. Pirate boss said the Republic won the war too. How could I have been so wrong?" Jonas pauses and looks at the model ship. Pretty nice, he thinks. He says to Korath, "Well, maybe we ought to head for Coruscant. I suspect that I'll have an apology to make the Jedi Council."

Luke Skywalker,” Korath corrects him. “ Master Luke Skywalker. And there is no Jedi Council on Coruscant. There hasn’t been one for well over fifty years. A lot has happened in the past however many years you’ve been down there.”

Jonas responds, "Well ain't that some poodoo. Is there still a Jedi Council at all? Because if there ain't, I'm going to need you to show me to the wet bar, 'cuz I'm gonna need it."

“Nope,” Korath says. “There’s maybe a handful of Jedi scattered around here and there. The Empire did a pretty good job wiping the Jedi out while it was in power. Like I said, I’ll debrief you and get you up to speed once we take off. For now, climb on board.”

"Empire? Heavy, man." Jonas responds, struggling to make sense of it all. He continues, "Let me make it quick, slick. When the Separatist poodoo went down, some of us had a vision. The Force kind , not the Spice kind, dig? We saw that this was all going to be one giant mess. Each one of us would get a new crib, secret like. Hide out, wait out the whole mess. We weren't 'sposed to tell the other Brothers where. Made us harder to find, right? But one of my mellows whispered something about Drall. You want to find another Jedi, look there. You dig it?"

“Works for me,” Korath responds as he ascends the ramp. “Let’s get the boy taken care of and we’ll be on our way.”

"You tell the boy to be cool," Jonas responds. "If that boy bogarts any of my stuff again, I'll make sure he gets signed up for the Trial of the Flesh extra early. You dig?" Jonas starts walking up the ramp. " Anyway. Show me to the wet bar and my quarters. In that order."

“Sorry,” Korath says, laying the boy down in a bunk. “No wet bar. There’s some open staterooms in the back for you to sleep, and the galley and lounge are upstairs, so there’s food. But drinks’ll have to wait.”

Korath closes his eyes while laying his hands on Avalon's wounds, focusing deeply and letting the Force flow through him and into Avalon. Slowly but surely, his wounds begin to close one by one over several minutes until every wound has healed.

Jonas responds, "Well ****. Guess beggars can't be choosers. Might as well fill my belly. Then I have a whole lot of holonet to catch up on. That's still a thing, right?"

Finishing with healing Avalon, Korath finally responds. “Not on this ship,” he says after several minutes. “I do have a library though. Once we get going I’all give you a tour.”

With that, Korath heads upstairs to the cockpit and climbs into the pilot’s seat before calling up the space port controller. “This is the Jedi Star requesting clearance to depart.”

With a start Avalon leaps upright shouting "can't let darkness find me"

"Troubles's best kind thing tae be in, bug mate" She swings the sword wide.

As the young girl swings the blade through the air with a faint swishing noise she would gather more atention from the residents of the tavern. A few more weary looking Drall had begun to troop in as they either returned from a night out or prepared for a long day, and were unsurprisingly taken aback by the unsheathed weapon. The greying bartender would lean over his counter top and jab a stubby finger at the groups direction as he shouts at them. 'Oi! No weapons in 'ere! Stow it away or take it out the door!' His rumbling tone cut through the quiet and could be easily heard by the three around the table.

After getting clearance from the starport control, Korath lifts the Jedi Star our of the docking bay and into the sky before heading into orbit.

Jonas finds his first day or so on the Jedi Star to be somewhat depressing. No booze, mediocre food and no holonet. Having being frozen in carbonite for so long, Jonas was hoping for something fun . But fun was not to be had on this ship. Perhaps that's for the best, thought Jonas. It's been decades since he's done any training or meditation. Time to get that started again. And a library? How quaint. But some reading might not be a bad way to pass the time. To be a Jedi is to know peace, a mentor of him told him long ago. Well, thought Jonas, there won't be much but peace here. Satisfied with that thought, and with a full stomach, Jonas sits down to quietly meditate.

He hears giggling as some one bolts from his room and quickly finds his lightsaber missing

(Where in a non structured senario so unless pressed I'm not gonna roll)

After engaging the hyperdrive, Korath exits the cockpit and goes looking for Jonas. As he does so, he sees Avalon bolting from the rear cabins, with Jonas' lightsaber in his mitts, and steps in front of the boy.

"Put it back," Korath says sternly, his arms crossed, as Avalon comes up short. "Remember the trouble you caused back on Manaan? Remember the result?"

Well I'm sure it would have been as bad if I hadn't lost it in middle the battle.

Now teach me how to use this thing better. He says activating the saber and falling into a sloppy 1st form, grin splitting his face

"First, That lightsaber is not yours to learn to use," Korath reprimands. "It's Jonas'. Second, Before you even think about learning to use the Force, or a dangerous weapon, like the lightsaber, you first need to learn discipline, self control, humility, and respect for others and their property! That fight down on Manaan, and your getting hurt were a consequence of your actions and could have been avoided entirely had you listened and obeyed my instructions . That fight did not need to happen . That whole situation could have been handled peacefully with no injuries or loss of life to anyone, but you had to go and cause trouble and start a fight. What did I tell you, and RoKa? A Jedi does not seek combat. He does not initiate a conflict. He seeks peace and understanding. He seeks to resolve conflicts peacefully if at all possible, and only resorts to violence when all other options fail. Now, come with me, return Jonas' lightsaber to him, and apologize to him."

I have those qualities. Avalon said defiantly. I respect your foolishness and know that I am less so

“Do you now?” Korath laughs. “Then explain to me why you rushed in and escalated an already volatile situation instead of allowing me and my fellow Jedi to attempt to diffuse the situation peacefully? Why did you try to steal our respective lightsabers, particularly when you have no idea how to use one or how dangerous they can be? Why do you not listen to people who are trying to teach you and keep you safe? You say you want to learn the ways of the Force yet you completely disregard and disobey the very one you asked to teach you. Simply put, Avalon. You are reckless and you are selfish! If you want to learn the ways of the Force you must be patient, disciplined, and, above all, selfless .”
