When to reveal army lists?

By Big Easy, in Rules

This may be more of a tournament question that will be answered later, but I'm curious what the standard timing is for revealing your army list to your opponent. Do you do it:

a) when you first begin, before anything else

b) after assigning terrain characteristics, but before placing terrain

c) after placing terrain, but before picking red or blue player and table side

d) after revealing your point total and picking red/blue, but before defining battlefield cards

e) after defining battlefield cards, but before deployment.

The setup In the RRG is not super clear but in its very first step before terrain is placed you take all your stuff and set it off to the side so your opponet could see it at that point? By step 4 players are putting their army on their side of the board.

1. Establish Battlefield and Gather Components: Establish a 3' x 6' battlefield on a flat surface. The players sit across from each other on the 6' edges of the play area and place their units, cards, order tokens, movement tools, and other game components off the play area. Then, they assign ID tokens to their units, if necessary.

Current rules suggest this one. But tournament regulations could overrule it. Personally, I would prefer your c) because the uncertainty makes defining the table more interesting.

I expect that the cards representing your army list are public information and could be asked for any time so in effect "step 0".

We will get more details we get the updated rules and tournament guidelines.
