A few queries

By VAYASAN, in Rules

A few queries of mine if anyone can advise?

1- Veers- Evasive Maneuvers. 2 Vehicles. When a friendly vehicle is issued an Order it receives a Dodge token. Friendly Vehicles can use a Dodge token to cancel Crits.

Question A - Can you give free dodge tokens to two vehicles if you order 2 vehicles?

Question B , does Does Normally avoid Crits on vehicles?

2- Veers. Imperial Discipline. 2 Units and Veers. When a friendly unit is issued an Order it may recover. do all 3 recover? (2 units+ veers)

3- If you have Veers and Vader. 3 cards each + lets say Ambush. What happens if you lose 2 commanders early and then use the ambush Card. You just dont give out any orders and just draw randomly, going 2nd every turn?

Edit

4- Can Veers issue both Aim tokens to himself then use them both himself in 1 attack?

1a - Yes. Order 2 vehicles and each vehicle gets a dodge token.

1b - no, normally dodges only cancel hits - so you can cancel them BEFORE they are impacted to Crits.

2 - yes, all 3 are ordered, all 3 recover

3 - you always have standing orders, as you pick 6 command cards, then add standing orders as the 7th

4- if it’s choose 2 units, then no.

If you have no commander units left, you have to nominate a new unit to be your commander. You replace their token with the commander token between. I believe this happens in the command phase at the start of the round.

Actually, 1b - sort of yes :P During a turn when you played Evasive Maneuvers any Dodge token your vehicles get from any source allow you to cancel a crit, as Evasive Maneuvers remains in play for a duration of a turn. Otherwise (i.e. you didn't play Evasive Maneuvers this turn) your dodges can only cancel hits. After you apply Dodge, Impact happens.

3 - you cannot have 3 Vader cars, 3 Veers cards and an Ambush. If you choose to include both Vader and Veers in your army, you have to take: Standing Orders, two out of: Implacable-Maximum Firepower-Ambush, two out of: New Ways to Motivate Them-Evasive Maneuvers-Push, and two out of: Master of Evil-Imperial Discipline-Assault

4. It says choose up to two unit, then each gains an aim token, so you cannot give two to one unit.

cheers folks. Didnt realise you had to take 'standing orders'...but it makes sense that you always have it available.

somebody on the FB legion page said Vehicles with dodge tokens can CHOOSE if you dodge the Normal or Crit hit?

If you played Evasive Maneuvers, then yes, you can. Can't imagine why would you cancel normal hit over a crit, though? If you don't have armor, it doesn't much matter, but it's still better to dodge a crit, since hits can possibly be canceled by cover. If you have armor, cancel crit. If an opponent has Impact, it doesn't matter anyway.

Cover checks at the same time as dodge.

I know that, what I wanted to point out is that if an opponent rolled, say, 2 hits and 2 crits (after rerolls and surges), and you're in heavy cover, it is only natural to use Evasive Maneuvers-boosted Dodge to cancel one of the crits, since hits are cancelled by cover anyways :P
