Charge + No Time for Sorrows

By Rettere, in Rules

The spoilers for No time for sorrows reads "When a friendly trooper unit is issued an order, it may perform a speed-1 move".

Can Luke trigger a charge attack off of a free move like this? If so, Can he get two attacks in one round this way or would it consume his only attack for the round?

I don’t know about the first half....

but iof it does, I’m not sure it will It’ll consume his attack.

mistky because thevrestriction seems to be during your activation, and at that point,, you’re not activating him...

The restriction is once per activation, not turn, I believe.otherwise Vader wouldn’t be able to attack with his second activation.

Attack is only limited to 1 per activation, since its not his activation and his Charge ability has no mention about it being during his activation, i'd say yes.

Not sure where this card came from though that lets a unit move immediately.

Is this one of Han’s command cards? I don’t remember seeing this. Based on that wording, yes Charge works and he can still attack during his regular activation.

It's one of Leia's. Yikes Leia + Luke lists are gonna be nuts.

Ack, hold up! I should have looked at the specific wording first. Charge says “after you perform a move action [...]”.

This command card grants a move , not a move action . I don’t think Charge can trigger, actually.

hmm, that maybe true since this game does differentiate between actions and free actions.

Yet another email time (i suspect not because good god that would make luke mean)

Well, technically it differentiates between “X” and “X action”. Not so much between actions and free actions.

And, yes, this would have been brutal! I’ve been playing around with Luke Leia ideas just for fun, haha.

A "speed-1 move" is not a move action (otherwise they would say a move action).

Thus it can't trigger luke's ability that's after a move action.

Mistake

You also can't do any of the other stuff you can do with a move action, like, jump, climb or clamber, etc. Just like Force Push.

Still a great card!
