Speeder bikes and a jumping luke

By Steelgolem, in Rules

1) Does Luke’s jump ability allow him to go though terrain without penalty meaning he doesn’t lose speed when going through difficult terrain like a dense forest or can he “jump” through the trees at normal speed.

2) From what I have read my speeder bikes gets impact 2 because there are two of them does that mean they get cover 2 as well since there is two of them if not why ?

1) Yes, jump ignores difficult terrain penalties, so Luke moves at normal speed.

2) Each bike contributes an impact 1 attack, so bike 1 + bike 2 = impact 2. However, the inherent unit cover of the speeder bikes is cover 1.

Cover is an ability on the unit, while Impact is an ability on the weapon.

In addition to @Big Easy response to 1), per an email response from FFG, Jump can only be used once per unit activation.

Does that mean putting targeting scopes on storm troopers is pointless since precise is a unit ability?

It's not pointless. It adds to the existing Precise value, so Stormtroopers would have Precise 2 as a unit.

(There was an email answer somewhere that all keywords are supposed to stack and they will correct this oversight in the first edit of the RRG.)

That is why I’m wondering about the speeder bikes as cover X is a unit keyword

Its a unit keyword, but you still only have a single source of it, the unit as a whole. So it only gets the single value.

Once they actually stack by RAW, the scopes will allow precise 2 since it'll be two sources of precise(unit and upgrade)

Ok that makes sense thanks ?
