Improving Darth Vader Pose

By jcolnz, in Imperial Assault Painting and Modification

As title, has anyone modified to improve his pose? turn head / body etc?

Not yet. Funnily, I've been thinking about it last night - what could be done...

I found a blog a while back where the guy tilted the arms/waist/head to make it look more like he was about to strike. Unfortunately I haven't found it since!

Well, I actually like the pose of IA's Vader as it is, much more than the operetta-singing Vader from Legion. It looks menacing without being to much of an action-pose. I did modify the sculpt of mine, but not with regards to his pose, but to create the look he had after Ahsoka slashed open his mask when she confronted him on top of the Sith temple on Malachor:

To give him another pose AND make it look right you would need to 'animate' the arms at the elbows and propably cut through the cape, which would entail some heavy cleaning up before painting.

Well, the diffrence between your Vader and mine is: Yours is a masterpiece... mine is still unpainted and even if I paint him he needs 'something' to look great! :-D

Fourty Two, still loving that mod, awesome work man
