I came to the same conclusion you did on the T-47 weapon upgrades... and have left them at home!
But unlike you, I have used Wedge in every game I have fielded him, along with Long-Range Comlinks. And I love them both!
The ability to fly right over and flip around behind an enemy has been really awesome. And lends itself well for being able to drop in behind a unit and deny them their cover bonus.
All in all the T-47 has been awesome to take out those problem units on the flanks for me, or delete a unit about to grab Victory Tokens for my opponent.
Anyways... great write-up. And keep up the good work.

I think once Leia rolls around I’ll be considering LR Comms a lot more, right now it’s hard not to just take the Battle Meditation on Luke for the same points.
Im definitely going to try and keep Wedge and give him more of a go. I might even squeeze the Harpoon gun on for some cheeky suppression potential.
I definitely loved the T-47 overall though!

Battle Meditation has the added bonus of ignoring unit type on the command card.
Pop Son of Skywalker, throw an order to a T-47 across the board, and still use Luke's extra attack when he does activate.

Huh that hadn’t crossed my mind but you are of course 100% correct.
Definitely makes what I already thought was a fantastic card even better

Except that Son of Skywalker gives the order to Luke only. (Like Return of the Jedi is Luke +2units). Remember to check how many units (or specified units) are on the command card.

Yes, the usual rules for issuing orders with Command Cards stipulate that the unit 1.) Be in command range and 2.) Be of the designated unit type. Battle meditation pretty clearly ignores both of those.
One of those orders can be issued to
any
friendly unit on the battlefield seems pretty unambiguous. The unit does not need to be in range and does not need to be the correct type, it only needs to be friendly and on the battlefield.
Like I said I hadn’t thought of that, and it’s a pretty neat play - definitely makes the card even better!
