Deflection.. When does it end

By Beastsandbrews, in Rules

This happened today, and ill admit i did get salty but ended up winning the game. Vader has a dodge token, luke charges with the son of skywalker command for the free attack. If vader spends his dodge in the first attack, does he retain his surge to defense in the second? We ended up rolling a dice and i lost, but i feel this is a hard no otherwise you would have deflect for a whole turn.

No it doesn't. It last for the attack he spent the dodge token on. Nothing says it last until the end of the round or beyond that one attack.

Wishful thinking on your opponent's part. Of course its not for the entire round or it would say "until the end of the round, you gain x"

Its only for that one attack where the token is spent.
