Hi,

I plan to paint the rebel coats in a brown leather color and the trousers in a lighter sand color.

Can anybody please give me some tips on which colors to use — including wash.

I prefer citadel colors.

Mournfang Brown is an easy to use base coat and a decently leathery shade, especially with a dash of Nuln Oil on top. For the trousers - Flayed One Flesh, maybe? Ushabti Bone?

Mournfang brown or Doombull if you want it a red brown, dry brush with a lighter brown to give it a worn appearance. . Pants should be Zandri sand drybrushed with Ushabti bone. Do the backpacks XV-88 and the belts a dark brown or grey and the helmet rim is your choice.
