Troop LoS question.

By DarkTemplars, in Rules

Had this happen during the release event this weekend. Had a unit of stormtroopers with a rocket launcher. The T-47 gets behind them. When I activate the unit, we decided that they had LoS since troops don't have a firing arc.

It feels wrong from experience from other games, but I haven't been able to find anything in the rules that forbid it.

Anyone know if its someplace that I missed??

Trooper units have 360deg firing...

Nothing to feel bad about, from your post it sounds like both the Snowspeeder and the stormtroopers had LOS to each other

To try and explain the reasoning for it, turning in real life takes a second or so tops, vs running a few yards or taking aim and firing which might take 5-15 seconds. Seems silly to have to dedicate an action to this if it doesnt represent a similar level of effort / time in the simulation.

It does make the game a little simpler but flanking is still relevant when taking into account cover and when attacking vehicles.
