Yes because the moon beast specifically says the devouring happens instead of being knocked unconcious or insane so those clues wouldn't even cost you the madness or injury without a line like that.
Custom Investigators
Um, okay. I guess we could debate what would happen in the sequence of: 1) combat damage reduces the investigator's Stamina to zero 2) the investigator is knocked unconscious 3) the investigator is devoured instead of being knocked unconscious 4) the investigator cannot be devoured. So... he's not devoured or knocked unconscious, but his Stamina is still zero, I guess.
But you know what? I don't really care all that much. It was just a hypothetical idea anyway.
The 3 main characters from one of my all time favorite games, Chrono Trigger...
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson...
If you're going with the Holmes characterized from the new film, perhaps he should have a better Fight rating? Or perhaps a Skill like Fisticuffs or Fight. Or the ability to get an extra die when spending Clue tokens to add to Fight/Combat checks.
Also, I think you need to clarify or change his special ability... does it mean that whenever he gains Clues, he only gains the number of successes from the Lore (-3) check, or does it mean that he gains additional Clues from that check? Either way, I think that's a little wonky... He could end up getting no Clues at all, even when he should normally get one or more (why would he ever be less Clue worthy than anyone else?), or he could end up getting an additional 3 or more Clues in addition to whatever he gets, which could be huge (i.e. too huge)
I think something like him being able to gain an additional Clue when he picks one up from a location, or to be able to take the Clues that are removed from gates opening... something along those lines would be better for him.
Holmes and Watson. Excellent, let's go all Wold-Newton. How about Investigators for some of the following:
Lord Greystoke, Bulldog Drummond, Richard Hannay, Bertram Wooster, Reginald Jeeves, William Brown, James Bigglesworth, Jane Marple, Hercules Poirot, Tintin, Father Brown
Did you ever finish them? If so, can you email them to [email protected]
I just started watching that show and I want to use Sam and Dean on my next game.

Aw, man! You beat me to it! I made a Sm and Dean a while back, but haven't posted them yet because I wanted feedback on my other investigators, and because I've only seen through season 3. These guys look cool though, and I like the stand alone abilities that you gave them. I also like the idea of the brotherly love ability. I think that on Dean, you can write the brotherly love power in the same way that you wrote it on Sam. That would eliminate confusion if only Dean were being played due, say, to a random draw.
With the items, I think that the journal is a bit "fiddly" as they say. I think you might want to treat it as a tome; something that gives a good continuous effect, or something that you can use each turn to get something (particularly a clue token). That, or you could take away the die roll and the upkeep requirement and just have it exhaust to give one of the desired effects. In this case I would increase the price quite a bit, and there should probably be a drawback. For example:
Movement: Exhaust and spend 2 Movement points to make a Lore (-2)[2] check. If you pass, gain 1 Clue token.
Any Phase: Exhaust to gain +2 to one Spell Check.
Any Phase: Exhaust to gain +2 to one Combat Check.
Dad's Journal does not refresh unless you spend all your focus to do so.
Or something like that. As usual, my advice is worth what you're paying for it. I think I'll make that my signature...
Here are my versions of Dean and Sam:
Interestingly, I think we made their stats pretty much the same! I also made a Colt, which I'll post in the items and allies thread...
Good luck with your Supernatural team!
Here is my foray into Arkham, starting with Hito Shura. He is part of a investigator series I call "Strange Bedfellows", Investigators who are out to stop the current old one only because it interferes with another Old One's plans. They have effects that can be detirimental to other Investigators. Here is the zip file for Hito-Shura, I will introduce you to John Riddley shortly
Helloz. New here to the boards but I've been lurking for a bit. Here's an attempt at a custom investigator I made. I was at a loss for how to accomplish the "monster power thing" but then we got this new Lurker expansion, and I figured the power tokens could sub in for that. This character is designed to be more of a fighter, although it can certainly accomplish other tasks as well.
Looking at the investigators 2 posts ago, I think that Victoria's ability to copy Darrel Simmons' ability is a bit overpowered. I love Drake Matthews though - that guy is just wacky. Seems to be a bit of a screwy character though, cause how often do you spend time in locations you've already sealed o.O?
Leslie get's too much in returns for clues - clues are valued at 2$, and when you're selling, you should get a lesser cost. Maybe 1$ - other than that, being able to run by other investigators to grab clues on the way to a gate doesn't seem bad at all. Burg Thayer is just broken; first off, you can never lower the terror track. Ever. Also, healing other investigators and generating clues by handing off a tome? So if you hand someone a tome, and they hand it back to you, and you hand it back again, what's to stop you from full healing anyones (even multiple investigators) sanity in one turn? Nothing.
So has anyone checked out my hitoshura character yet?

I think you'll get more takers if you can post the image directly here without having to download it elsewhere...
Here's Drake Matthews from my set above, with Story So Far and Personal Story... still needs some tweaking, but anyway...
If I'm reading the fail condition of that mission correctly, if there are no elder signs on the board, he doesn't fail by going insane? I think the mission fail/pass conditions are pretty well balanced then - you can't pass if there are no elder signs on the board, and you can't fail either. Losing max sanity on a 4/6 character is kinda brutal though - perhaps he should suffer some other condition, like less will.

Well, think of it as a 3 Sanity, 7 Stamina character losing 1 Max. Stamina.
I need to change his name, though... I forgot about Dexter Drake, and there shouldn't be two "Drakes" in the game. Any ideas? Something more "1902's playwright" than Drake Matthews would be good.
Here is my first character for the strange bedfellow series John Riddley, his plot is that a servant of another old one wants one old one out of their master's way to devour the world, so they choose him for the job
Some one has probably already done this, multiple times. It was just a quick experiment with Eons though, and probably is quite unbalanced. Though the program doesn't seem to think it is. Just was my first go so be gentle
I edited him a little bit, mainly the Madness card.
Find the full card and marker here javascript:void(0);/*1285318766146*/ (anyone else dubious of this "javascrip:void" thing? check out the link in my sig then.. )
I wish I could posts, I realised that photobucket was shrinking the images from their proper size. So worked out a way to do it. If you go to my blog, javascript:void(0);/*1285402633706*/ you will find a link at the bottom of the post. It links to a zip file which contains the original images to print. Assuming anyone wants to give him a go
I have seen an Ash character somewhere before a long time ago... I have no idea how this compares but I like this one. The "boom-stick" ability is clever.

Thanks. I appreciate that
Another one.
The Story So Far:
Lindsay has never been able to stay in one place for long. It has nothing to do with not liking people of places.
Quite the opposite, Lindsay is so social she loves meeting new people. She is so adventurous that she loves seeing new sights.
She's learnt a great deal on her travels, and now she is looking to learn some of the greater secrets of the world. Her search has bought her to Arkham.
But is this one vacation she is going to regret?
For the zip file go here - javascript:void(0);/*1285659365286*/
