Latari store tourney list

By Jukey, in Runewars List Building

This is something I'm looking at running at a store tournament. I think it's pretty good but could use some input.

Maegan Cyndewin [36] 1x1
Fortunas Dice [6]
Total Unit Cost: 42

Deepwood Archers [42] 3x2
Wind Rune [6]
Support Aymhelin Scion [4]
Hunters Guile [4]
Total Unit Cost: 56

Leonx Riders [40] 2x3
Alania of Summersong [12]
Raven Tabards [2]
Metered March [2]
Column Tactics [4]
Total Unit Cost: 60

Aymhelin Scions [14] 1x1
Total Unit Cost: 14

Aymhelin Scions [14] 1x1
Total Unit Cost: 14

Aymhelin Scions [14] 1x1
Total Unit Cost: 14

My biggest issue is damage output against armored units. Can't find a good solution to it though.

the other list I'm considering is this:

Aliana of Summersong [33] 1x1
Ambush Predator [3]
Total Unit Cost: 36

Deepwood Archers [42] 3x2
Maegan Cyndewin [10]
Wind Rune [6]
Support Aymhelin Scion [4]
Hunters Guile [4]
Total Unit Cost: 66

Leonx Riders [40] 2x3
Raven Tabards [2]
Metered March [2]
Column Tactics [4]
Total Unit Cost: 48

Aymhelin Scions [14] 1x1
Vicious Roots [3]
Total Unit Cost: 17

Aymhelin Scions [14] 1x1
Vicious Roots [3]
Total Unit Cost: 17

Aymhelin Scions [14] 1x1
Raven Tabards [2]
Total Unit Cost: 16

It has less splash potential but if my opponent brings ranged units I can easily reach them with alliana.

With Column Tactics on the Leonx Riders, it looks like they would be a good unit for taking out high-armor units. And if you include Aliana instead of Maegan, you can redeploy that unit to make sure you have a lane to the most threatening high-armor unit.

That's what I was thinking with the second list, which I'm leaning more towards. Meagan splash damage is fun but fickle so making it a less pivotal part seems better. The second list also has the bonus of better points distribution, so the loss of any one unit isn't such a points sink.

Well it wasn't perfect but it got me second out of 4!

Better than me getting 8th out of 9! :) Congrats!

The piece that made things click vs. high armor for me was giving my 3x2 archers Tempered Steel instead of the Wind Rune. The Support Scion and their dialed in surge still gives them a fair amount of mobility, and you can get that extra three damage when you need it, which can really help against that armor.
