Yup. maybe they are learning from their past mistakes and making the rules future proof. I hope they keep it like this an we don't need a evergrowing FAQ/errata like in X-Wing. I have so much cardboard which text is actually wrong that it hurts gameplay.

You could read it as he makes his attack once and then making an imeadiate second attack in that same action. So he attacks twice but only takes one attack action
