I always thought that the best board game to use for Master of Orion is TI. I would love to see a limited edit base of Masters of Orion two universe.

That would be quite lovely. I do believe, however, that Eclipse would be a better choice of game to mod to MoO2 since Eclipse already has the whole "redesign your ships with new types of weapons and other stuff" in it.
