By Bullox, in X-Wing Painting and Modification

Very, very simple "Blue Squadron" touch up for the New Republic ARC-170! (Original Galactic Republic ARC-170 paintjob on the right)

Articulating Vanes Modification (<-- Click the link, whole write-up on how to do this) with Razor Squadron Repaint to follow so the model is still a work in progress (hense the half-primed photos).

My plan is to paint all clone ships Wolfpack-themed. For the ARCs, this is the result:

Yepp.

Hi all! :)

I'm ready for this Saturday's tournament in Amsterdam, with my Jedi Knights in shiny armor :)

I used:
- Molotov Liquid Chrome for base
- Vallejo Game Ink for colors

The idea was to get super bright metallic colors, I am happy with the result, even if the gloss varnish killed the original "mirror effect" :)
I hope you like them!

Thanks for watching! :)

My third Arc.

Totally different scheme for a wolf inspired Arc. Did not want to go with the Clone Wars CC3636/Wolffe scheme, this way I can also use it for Rebels.

And really no longer shiny factory fresh appearance, this thing has seen some serious action already....[starting originally from a model-rr background in early teens I just prefer weathered :) ]

Absolutely beautiful! Job well done

Purple and silver I did as a donation to CAC Denver. Blue and orange I did for myself and then sold to a squadmate out of Virginia.

Based this off a picture of a toy - saw a very similar one above. Does anyone know if this scheme is in a show/game/comic etc?

" In 2008, Hasbro produced a Target exclusive Clone Wars edition of the ARC-170 Starfighter action vehicle and the ARC-170 Elite Squad Battle Pack 3-1/4" action figure set—two pilots, two troopers, and astromech droid R4-C7—for its 30th Anniversary Collection of Star Wars toys.[2][3][6] Additionally, Hasbro produced a Clone Trooper/ARC-170 robot for its Star Wars Transformers series in the same paint scheme.

In 2008, with the release of Hasbro's Star Wars: The Legacy Collection series of action figure sets, a Republic gunship pilot in Razor Squadron markings was featured as one of the figures in the Evolutions - Imperial Pilot Legacy pack.[4][8]

The Clone Wars version of the ARC-170 Starfighter and the ARC-170 Elite Squad are similar in appearance to the blue-painted gunship used by The Muunilinst 10 from episode 21 of the Clone Wars animated series that aired on Cartoon Network on March 21, 2003 after Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones was released in theaters on May 16, 2002.[7]

The WizKids' Imperial PowerUp Pack—a starter set for the Star Wars PocketModels TCG game sold at WalMart and Meijer—featured a coupon offering a Razor Squadron miniature. This is the first mention of the squadron's name, and is coincidental to the commercial use by WalMart of a masked smiley mascot who slashed prices with a razor-sharp sword. This is in line with the red- and white-colored ARC-170 miniature mail-away promotional unit—identified as Bull's Eye Squadron—featured in the version of the game supplement distributed through Target, a store whose logo is a red and white bullseye.[9]"

Thanks ZealuxMyr; i watched the clone wars with my kids but dont recall the scheme- might rewatch a few episodes to see if any other designs stand out

Violet Squadron! I clipped the wings (those just look goofy to me) and I added some dings and battle damage.
