My favorite support ship , the Hawk is so good and so bad at the same time. What's up with that 1 attack die? And that dial? Got to love it though, it's so 90's.

This bad boy is sporting a turret that came off a Rebel attack shuttle. And the Scum mechanics had trouble putting the wings on the way they were intended, but I like it anyway.

Nicely done, they look fantastic.
Hawk mod and repaint. The paint job is a bit of a mess but I still like the mods.
Just needs a little wash to bring out some of the details. Good mod tho'.

Here's my HWK-290 I painted a wee while ago. Photographed outside on a rather sunny day, so it looks a little washed out.
Indoor lighting wasn't much better.
Still looks good to me.

Polda's HWK-290 inspired me to do one of my own that had a beak and other bird features. I chose a cockatiel as the bird to base my paint design on.

I'm sure it was a good natured ribbing, yes? It's hard to determine tone sometimes in the written form.
I took a shot at a minor modification to the HWK-290. I call it the "Moldier Crow". Winglets from a broken Quadjumper, and a much larger turret from a broken YT-2400.
Here's a detail shot of the underside from a potential paint scheme I rejected:
I painted this guy with TurboDork metallics. I have very, very mixed feelings about those paints.

That first one, looks like the Preybird made famous in the Thrawn novels, the 2nd looks like a cool klingon bird of prey.
This color scheme seemed better in my head than it came out in real life. I have already organized to trade it for an unpainted one so I can try again. I think maybe adding more black and a little bit darker blue would help.
