No need to trade. You can paint right over it. Or if you like, you can strip the paint off pretty easily too.

Is there an alternative canon paint scheme for the HWK? Something like the Kath red and silver Firespray?

Bonus points if they are tied to relevant scum pilots like Palob or Morkil...

Pretty much the only one is from the Kanaan comics; the problem is that most of the pilots of the HWK-290 all flew the Moldy Crow :
