It was a really bad day...for those ships
Kyle Ren's Repaint Thread
Hello friends!
This has been a really busy year for me so far, but I finally got a chance to do some painting today! This time I painted a YT-2400:
Bonus points if you can name which real-life aircraft I was inspired by!
Here's my next painting project, an ARC-170:
Yet another repaint, inspired by a real-life airplane. The colors don't show up quite right here, in person you'd easily be able to recognize the paint scheme as that of a Vought Corsair.
Nice job. The Corsair is one of my favorite airplanes. (Then again I only know the names of two...)

Edited by Darth DragoAnother T-70 that I painted this weekend.
Just finished painting this! Sorry for the messy background in these pictures, but the colors here are pretty accurate to the actual thing:
Here's a GUNBOAT I did a little while ago:
And another one:
Finally, a K-Wing:
Sadly little kids broke the guns off this one a while back, so I've gotta find more guns to kitbash on there
Finally got around to this one. The Kihraxz is absolutely my least favorite ship. Which isn't to say I hate it, I really do like all of the ships. But I wanted to make it better. So here's my mod. Sorry, my camera is bad.
Here's a picture with the flash which is... maybe better?
Ha ha! looks good, (potato quality camera work notwithstanding). It just needs a little detail on the nose. Maybe hollowing it out a smidge?
Maybe I'm a little biased.
Ok I hate yellow. But here it is!
(this also has nothing to do with the travesty that is the Mining Guild TIE
)
That yellow turned out really good!
Hey, that kinda looks like the one @Piscopas did for me!
Just finished painting all the not-broken Z-95s I have!
Nice! Add them to the Z95 Showcase
Does the squad have a name?

Not sure! I was going to paint some Kimogilas like this and call them Bumblebee Squadron though.
It's just a matter of being able to afford that many Kimos!
I know they're yellow, but my first thought was tigers.
If you have a favorite scum planet, maybe you can name them the "Zygerrian Tigers" or what have you.
My Silencer. Not actually really meant to be Imperial blue or something (I think the sequels are fine movies and I understand that it'll be in a different faction", I just really like this color.
Loving that cockpit ❤!

Thanks! Much appreciated.
I think most of the ones on the first page have at this point been chopped up and used as bits and pieces for other X-Wing projects, and I'm not planning on converting any of them. They sort of hurt to look at TBH.
Figured I'd leave the pics up here though just to show how much I've learned just by reading this forum!
Hey, did you switch over to acrylic paints back in January? I noticed the quality of the paint has changed from your earlier stuff as I looked through your thread.
Your have better control of your painting too. Well done! Don't stop.

Yeah, that was on yours and others' advice here and the advice of some people at my game store! It's really been working well for me!
I finished my comic-inspired mod of a Z-95 yesterday, using bits of one of the ones from the first post in this thread and bits of a T-70 X-Wing yesterday. Sadly, a wing broke off... need to go find better superglue. And I painted a fang fighter, which I'm going to finish varnishing in a bit. And then I'll post pics of both.
Sadly, with 2.0 coming out and lots of other stuff going on, X-Wing is basically dead locally, but it means that I get a lot of painting done during game nights. Also played a demo game of Imperial Assault and that was a lot of fun, so I might buy and start painting some of that too!
