Fimir Reimagining

By vengefulspirit, in WFRP Gamemasters

My players have chosen the Intrepid Explorers party sheet, and as such in a few months they will embark on a voyage to Lustria.

I've been doing some research on the Fimir and my players know very little about them.

I know the Fimir are not originally from Lustria, but the idea I have just had is to introduce the players to a race of cyclopean, scaly skinned beastmen that live in the wetlands of the Lustrian jungle. I can still fit all the traits of the Fimir in, having them abore sunlight and taking female prisoners to mate with and being wreathed in fog. But it also provides me with a chance to have the players and locals mistake them for Lizardmen, rather than doing the standard "get off my land!" Lizardmen story.

What do you guys think?

I know they wouldn't be the die hard Fimir but at least it would be bringing back a piece of discarded history.

I think you should get hold of Warpstone #25 and take a look at Legion #6:

There's a perfectly good reason why there should be a few Fimir knocking about in Lustria...

Just check out www.warpstone.org to contact the editor.

Be advised that the Fimir material in Warpstone 25 doesn't offer anything specifically related to Lustria, but there's enough background on the Fimir to keep people going for a campaign or two, wherever you choose to set them.

In case you haven't found them already, there are some samples here:
