Looking around the same corner as Oola, Zoroku was able to find several thing details that would help them in a fight. ' All the Sith Troops are carrying Grenades, A loose panel could prove useful as a shield for either Kattadik or I... If only there was a way to get behind these Troopers.' Zoroku would return from the corner and address the two other Padawans, " All fifteen men are carrying grenades on their belts, these could be used against them if we can set them off, Kattadik I saw a loose Durasteel Panel It could provide decent shielding for a while." He would take a second look and then back to Oola, " Is there anything you saw of note?"
Star Wars: Revan's War IC
Walden's orders would seem to fall on death ears as he tries to organise the pilots to attack the hyperdrive, and their was a good reason for this. One of the interdictors approaching the damaged attacker was broadcasting on the same frequency as the republic. They were actively trying to disrupt the fighters cohesion by effectively talking over the orders they were receiving, and it seemed to work. Rather than attacking the rear of the ship the fighter squads broke up to combat the nimble sith craft that were cutting them out of the sky. Bartlett's voice could be just hear through the cacophony, but it wasn't enough to organize the fighters back tot he task at hand.
Walden would also just be able to hear Gunda's voice over the com. It didn't sound good, the Dug sounded concerned, worried even. 'Hey, Walden buddy. I think I may have messed up. I'm pretty sure my ship is on fire'. He sounded like he was trying to keep the panic out of the voice.
But when it seemed that the efforts to prevent the interdictor's escape had failed, ships would appear out of hyperspace to the east. Two Forray-Class Blockade Runners had arrive, presumably from Corouscant. Their communications would be able to cut through clearly for Walden to hear. 'This is captain Fockur of the ship Zenith. What is going on here? What is this?'
The confusion was understandable, the interdictor's and the Aurek's were both used extensively by the republic. To an outside observer this looked as if it some kind of rebellion had broken out among the navy.
Meanwhile the Besalisk would respond over the com to Muu's question. 'Im sending you the deck plan now, but that's the best I can do right now. The enemy is getting closer to my location and I'll need to evacuate soon!'
As Muu questions the sith, he would eventually get a response. The trooper would sigh as he is handcuffed 'There's about twenty of us in the ship, and when they figure out you're on board they're going to cut you to ribbons!'
Well, I see a load of people trying to shoot each other, two apprentices who think their hot stuff, and that.
Oola points to the duct with one finger jabbing back and forth trying to keep behind the groups meager cover.
Walden dodged incoming fire as the communications jammed while trying to get communications back up. The fact of the matter is that he had lost communications due to jamming and everyone was fighting for themselves. Frakk, we're gonna get torn up. He then hears Gunda over the comms.
"Gunda, see if you can pull out of the fight and head back to the dockyards," Walden said, trying to hide his own worry. A ship on fire was on the verge of breaking up, and Walden wasn't sure if Gunda had prepared for this eventuality.
When the Republic cruisers came in, Walden answered. " Captain Fockur, this is Walden Albright, a Jedi attached to Foerost station to oversee operations here. We've been attacked by unknown elements of the Republic Navy that use new fighters unlike the Aureks. We've been defending this station, but they have stolen some of the ships in the docks. We have one enemy Interdictor damaged, but there are two that are making their escape. We need assistance immediately if we want to keep some from leaving. I'll send the coordinates of the damaged Interdictor, maybe we can still prevent its escape."

Oola points to the duct with one finger jabbing back and forth trying to keep behind the groups meager cover.
" Hot Stuff? That phrasing is new to me, Nevermind that, I will attempt to get behind the Sith Ranks through the air ducts, Kattadik I need you to provide a distraction long enough for me to get behind them. In order for this to work Oola I will need you to provide a shield like you did earlier but for Kattadik." Zoroku would address the two padawans laying out the plan he had just come up with, " Once behind they will be forced to split their attention between Kattadik and I, possibly allowing us to deal with them quickly and then we could move on to the Command Center. "
There would be a pause over the coms before the newly arrived blockade runners would respond to Walden. 'Alright jedi, have you're fighters fall back to the station'. There would seem to be a hushed argument on the vessel before Fockur returns. 'You don't have enough men to stop these vessels, our priority now has to be protect the station'.
A glance back at the station would support what the captain was saying. Flames ravaged the stations hull, and great sections of the rung that made the shipyards had been completely destroyed. There was virtually nothing left of the stations defences, and a number of black spots darted across the surface, wreaking more havoc.
Before Walden could say or do anything a sith fighter would dive on him from above, firing its guns in a effort to blow him out of the sky. There would be a shout over the com from Gunda as his Aurek trailing flames heads straight for Walden. 'Watch it!' he'd shout as the fighter banks past Walden. He catches the sith fighter in the side with a burst of fire and emerges on the other side of the resulting explosion.
Something was wrong though, along with the flames a shower of sparks escaped from his starboard wing. 'Agh, Walden buddy, I think I'm done for now. You're on your own'. Gunda would sound strained over the com as he only just manages to keep the fighter from spiralling out of control. He was heading towards the station as breakneck pace. 'Look, just, just keep an eye on the others alright? Don't let them get themselves killed' There was something in his tone that suggests the worst. There'd be a forced laugh before he continues to speak. 'You know, I didn't think I'd go out like this. I thought it would be something, grander'.
There'd be a loud bang as the connection begins to break up. 'I'm heading for the planet, and judging by all the flashing lights in here, my odds aren't great. I'm sorry Walden'. With that the connection to Gunda's coms were lost, and Gunda was lost with them. There was a chance he'd survive entry to the atmosphere, but even for a jedi it was tiny. The saddening truth was that he had most likely ended like Svae. Another sacrifice had been made'.
Kataddik let’s loose with a terrifying roar sending a group of Sith troops fleeing in terror.
"Roger that, Captain Fockur." Walden replied over the comms. "To all Foerost fighters, pull back and defend the station, reinforcements will handle the Interdictors."
He didn't notice the fighter diving on him from above until the explosion pops out with Gunda flying away from it. "Gunda!"
As he hears Gunda speak on the comms, Walden gripped the controls tightly. I should have watched my six!
"... I'll keep an eye out," he replied as cool as he could. He knew the worst was about to happen, and when communications were cut off, Walden knew he was more than likely dead.
You never taught me how to fly.
He would have to shake his head and get back into the present, though. There were more lives at stake, and this was no time to think about it.
"Bartlett, I'm going to touch down onto the station soon; my Aurek's hit and can't take much more. Have the remaining wings take out any fighters hitting the station, but if you see a target of opportunity, you are free to engage. May the Force be with you."
He then switches to the group's comms. "This is Walden, Republic reinforcements have made it, but...Gunda got shot down. Lost communications with him. I...I think he's dead."
He waits for a few seconds for the thing to sink in, then continues.
"Who needs help?"
When Kattadik went to scare a squad of Sith troops away Zoroku began to unhinge the grate in between him and the ventilation shaft. Then his communicator came to life with Walden's voice when he was done Zoroku picked up the communicator, " Gunda's death is regrettable, but we cannot mourn him, let us use his death to strengthen our resolve." Zoroku waits for Walden to continue his response. "Walden you have three options, Join Muu and Gaze trying to stop ship thefts, K1SO and Tiberius in getting to a dry dock from out of atmosphere or Join Kattadik, Oola and I in reinforcing the Command Center."
"I'll see what I can do about Tiberius and K-1SO, then," Walden replied to Zoroku.
"Tiberius, K-1SO, where are you?" Walden said, scanning the station for any sign of his two team members, before he sees K-1SO seemingly floating off to space.
Oh, by the Force. He thought on how to stop K-1SO's drift off to space before he had an idea: if he could cut the thrusters and pitch on his fighter at the right time, he could drift near them and block their travel to space enough to at least reorient them towards the hangar. Even better if he could guide them in.
But it was a big if. Still, that was the only working plan in his head.
"See you have some issues with sticking onto the hull. I'll drift my fighter near you, use that as a stepping stone back towards the hangars."
Walden cuts the engines, the deceleration slamming him back to the seat for a moment. He ignores the warnings about his fighter about to shut down and uses the momentum gained to maneuver towards K-1SO. Seeing that he was about to pass them, Walden turned enough for the fighter to approach them and push them in the direction of the hangar.
"That should get us to where we need to go," Walden says in the comms before checking his suit for any holes. None so far, so I'm good, he thinks as he sets life support on, pops the cockpit hatch open, and starts to drift right behind K-1SO.
Edited by satkazOola watches the Wookiee run out and growl at the Sith soldiers. A single group of them start to run but the other hold position. Already having enough of this ****, Oola was irritated, tired and slightly shot. She blasted a bolt at the fuzz ball only just catching herself and readjusting the Force around him and not at him. She then dove behind some of the makeshift cover and looked at a startled trooper. Hey, Oola. Hows your day going? Me? I've had better.
Edited by SithArissaFocused on the securing the interdictor, Muu escorts both of the prisoners up the ramp of their shuttle. The Padawan moves the invaders to the passengers seats, attaches the seat-belts, and secures the binders behind the troops backs. " Under Jedi protection as our captives, we believe you'll be most secure here in the event that something happens to the interdictor " the Iktotchi says reassuringly. " So we may further prevent needless violence, I will need your evacuation codes to protect the lives of your comrades onboard " Muu reasonably requests.
Using the further cooperation from the negotiation check (extra successes) for the enemies evac codes.
Walden watches K-1SO as he floats towards the hangar. There was a bit of scaffolding to get through, but for Walden, it wasn't much of an obstacle.
"Can you pass through the scaffolding?" he says on comms.
Edited by satkazThe rebel soldiers hunched behind their barricade of crates would look up with shock and surprise as a large furred creature leaps the barricade and charges at the sith ahead of them. 'Is he crazy? He'll be slaughtered!' one of them would shout as the watch him go. Despite their concerns, they aren't about to let him fight alone. As a small group of the silver clad soldiers scramble to their feet and make a dash down the corridor, the republic troops would pop up from behind their barricade to try and cut them down before they can get too far away.
The shots would go wide, but would not be completely useless. One of the stray blaster rounds would hit a terminal set into the wall, and a terrific explosion of spark would erupt outwards. One of the sith troopers near the wall would catch the full force of the explosion, and would be flung against the opposite wall with a thud. He would collapse in a heap, not moving.
The other sith would not be so easily dissuaded from holding their position however. One would look over his shoulder at the fleeing troops and would bellow 'where are you going? There's only three of them!' They would fall back a few steps from the raging Wookie as they fire their carbines at him. At this range and with the size of the attacker, it is hard for them to miss. Kataddik would catch a shot to the shoulder while another slams into his side. Although they aren't lethal blows, they are going to still hurt all the same.
The combination of their words and their resilience must have had an effect on the fleeing soldiers, they halt and turn back to look at the fight. They looked unsure of what to do, but would undoubtedly make a decision soon.
As Oola ducks down behind a crate beside the republic soldiers, one of them would give her a strange look. 'Who, who are you talking to?' The solider was young and look fairly green in comparison to the others in his squad. A trickle of blood ran down his temple though he didn't seem to notice.
'Stop chatting! Keep fighting!' his sergeant would growl as he drag the young soldier back into the firing position.
Unfortunately the jedi and republic troops were not fighting on one front. Sith forces were also positioned to attack anything that crossed their path. One of them would point at Oola, a second would nod without a word. In a single fluid motion one of the sith would unhook the grenade from his belt and fling it overarm at the defensive line. It would bounce off the top of one of the crates with a dull clang before coming to rest at the feet of the republic sergeant.
The vetran would look at the grenade in shock for a second before bellowing 'grenade!' it was the only warning their was time for before it detonated. The young soldier would push Oola roughly against the corridor wall as the explosion catches him in the back. The young man was killed almost instantly as the shrapnel from the grenade shred through his back and into his vital organs. It may have been quick, but it was still a painful death.
The sergeant had been thrown into the wall from the explosion, but by a miracle had survived. As he lay there, slumped against the wall he would cough up a mouthful of blood that would run down his chin. He would look down and see shards of metal embedded in his torso, arms and legs, and could most likely feel where it had sliced into his face. By his expression, he knew he would die soon.
The jedi were not left unscathed however. Despite the soldiers best efforts Oola was still caught in the explosion and suffered some nasty injuries as shards of metal slice across her face and arms. One narrowly misses her eye socket, leaving a deep cut that runs along the side of her head. Zoroku also suffered as the grenade reeks its havoc. A small chunk of metal would lodge itself deep in his calf. Fortunately it would miss his crucial arteries, but would need removing at some point.
Meanwhile, Muu and Gaze would be treated to a moment of calm as the their captives are escorted to their shuttle. Once secured and Muu would continue his questioning, one of them would sight before responding. 'The code it echo-one, but it doesn't matter. The commander's not going to leave this ship unless it's falling down around his ears'.
'Shut up Torran! the other would snap. 'Why not tell them your life story while you're at it?' He'd turn to look at Muu through his helmet. 'Jedi scum, you're gonna burn!' This would be followed by what sounds like the trooper spitting at the Iktochi. Unfortunately for him, he must have forgotten about his helmet.
Outside of the station, K-1SO, Tiberius and Gaze would float swiftly towards the rust coloured scaffolding of the dry docks. They were surrounded by the explosions and gunfire of the battle, and in a different setting, it could almost be seen as beautiful, almost. They would land on the scaffolding with a clang, the droid smacking his head on one of the lower hanging bars as he makes his landing.
A quick maneuver through the scaffolding to the other side would present the view of the shuttle hanger for the dry docks. Two sith shuttles could be seen clearly, and a blistering firefight was just visible as the sith slowly advance further into the hanger. Judging by the number of shuttles and the compliment of the one that had landed in the jedis own hanger, it could be assumed that they had around forty heavily armed soldiers. Although the republic may have witted down the number, this was still going to be quite the conflict. Unfortunately, from this perch it was difficult to see many more details that may help them in their strategy.
While all this death and destruction was going on, there was a very different story unfolding on Corouscant. The news of the attack had not reached them thanks to the jamming signal, and life continued as usual. This was no less different at the jedi temple. It was late afternoon here, and padawans Ryff Montou and Raithe Arlen had both been summoned to the courtyard of the great temple. They'd seen eachother around the temple hear and there, though they had seen each other around as they progressed through their training, they had both been in different classes for most of their time. Why they had been summoned to the courtyard was a complete mystery to both. They had not been told anything of real use, and would simply have to wait and see.

Gaze listens to the troopers comment about his commander and ships falling down. He takes out his lightsaber and ignites the blade. "Yeah, I think that can be arranged." His tone dry. A dark-haired girl sat on the roof not too far above her quarters, her golden brown eyes watching the other Jedi go about their daily routines. Deento, the Rodian knight, was playing with his akk dog, a common pet owned by the Jedi. Younglings outside were practicing their saber cadances, as the elder masters watched the younger generations with pride. Unexpectedly, the girl's comlink began to beep.
"Raithe Arlen, you have been summoned by the Council. Report to the courtyard immediately."

Silently, like a shadow, Raithe made her way to Ryff's side.

Determined, the consular exits the hangar with this fellow padawan down the corridor towards engineering.

Silently, like a shadow, Raithe made her way to Ryff's side.
Ryff Monotu was sitting in an isolated chamber deeply immersed in the force. Master Vune quietly enters the chamber. Patiently waiting, he kneels down about ten feet behind Ryff. Upon hearing the door open, Ryff opens his eyes and turns to see his master waiting behind him. "Good Morning Master," Ryff smiles behind his vocorder while giving a small bow. "Good Morning Ryff. I came here to tell you, you've been summoned to the temple courtyard," Master Vune smiles back. " Thank you master," Ryff answers.
As Ryff was walking down the corridor he starts thinking, "I wonder why I'm being summoned, and why to the courtyard?" Noticing Raithe, a padawan that he had seen on a few occasions, is walking next to him. "I've been summoned to the courtyard; what about you?"
Edited by BeingofMortis"I've been summoned, too," Raithe replied. She and Ryff exchanged stories of recent events until they reached the courtyard.
As the two young padawns reach the jedi courtyard. It was a peaceful structure, made of smooth grey and brown stone, and the ground was punctuated with short trees here and there. It was popular with the jedi to come and meditate, relax or simply meet friends.
There would be a few padawans and knights milling about the courtyard, minding their own business, a few meditating in the warm sunlight. After a moment or two a jedi with sandy coloured hair would approach the pair. He was on the lower end of middle aged, and would be considered by many as handsome. Both padawans would recognize him as master Kavar, a member of the jedi high council. 'Ah padawans Arlen and, Monotu is it? I believe you were asked to meet me here'.
Edited by Rabobankrider"Yes," Raithe replied plainly. Simple questions required simple answers. Raithe only ever said what was needed to be said. Anything more would've been pointless. A mere waste of breathe in exchange for pretty words.
Edited by AdvocatXDRyff bows and says, "Yes master, and I'm Ryff Monotu."
Edited by BeingofMortisZoroku pulled the bit of shrapnel out of his armor, he was bleeding slightly but thankfully the armor did it's job and stopped the wayward piece of metal. Before attempting to climb the Ventilation Zoroku Satbbed Oola's other thigh with another of his Stimpacks, seeing as she had barely escaped the blast of the Grenade herself. " Oola, try inspiring the men to rally, perhaps even firing at the grenades strapped to the enemy troopers belts. Let us use their tools against them." He helped the girl to her feet then went back to the vent and tried to begin his climb, it seemed that the shrapnel had gotten in far enough for it to be irritating while he attempted to climb, he stopped as the irritation turned to pain and dropped down, he would need to use his arms more for the initial climb if he was going to get in.
Zoroku puller her to her feet but Oola was transfixed on the dead young soldier. She had still taken a lot of the impact of the grenade and was somewhat in shock at his saving her. She bent down and pulled the dogtags of the young man off his neck. She held them in her hands for a second then tucked them into her robes.
As Gaze and Muu leave the ships hanger at brisk pace, they would find themselves in a corridor that headed to their left and right. Thanks to the map they had acquired, they knew to head right, towards the aft of the huge ship. The walls were a matte grey, like they hadn't bothered painting it. This was accompanied by the maroon trim used on republic vessels. In the silence of the corridor it was really quite eerie. There was no talking, no footsteps, not even any electronic noise or the sound of the engines. As they move down the corridor every so often they would see a corridor with a yellow screen, allowing for basic functions when the ship was fully functional.
Fortunatley for them, as the ship was so large and the invading force was relatively small, they were able to go a fair distance oft eh journey unmolested. Instead they were left alone with their thoughts, with the death and destruction they'd seen. Not just of the republic or the sith, but the sacrifices made by their friends as well. One they had seen die, another they had heard fighting to survive. How many more would pass before the end of this?
Soon they neared the engineering levels as the winding corridors lead them in the direction of the entrance to the cavernous rooms that usually housed all manner of technicians and electronic life. The door was just around the corner from them, not far away at all.
Back on Corouscant Kavar would nod as both padawans respond. Kavar may have never really spoken to these padawans before, but he knew a good deal of them thanks to the briefing that resulted in this meeting. Ryff Monotu, an exemplary student who was showing signs of excellent mental fortitude and had aided by the jedi code as well as many of his superiors. He was well n his way to being one of the jedi's seers if he had the patience for it, perhaps even a teacher one day.
Raithe Arlen, now she was a different story. Another criminal who a jedi had seen the potential for redemption and great things in. He was inclined to disagree with the negative views of masters such as Vrook Lamar, and agree with her master. She had a quick mind and a good head on her shoulders. Assuming that she was able to prove herself worthy, she may well end up as one of the many jedi watchmen scattered throughout the galaxy.
Kavar would smily kindly at the pair as he speaks. 'You have both been on missions with your masters before, but now it is time for you both to attempt one without their supervision. 'Corouscant has seen an increase black market trade, and as jedi it is our responsibility to investigate this. If possible quell it completely. The council wants the pair of you to investigate however you see fit. I would recommend starting at the docks of the lower levels and proceeding from there'. At this is face would grow serious. 'This will be a difficult mission padawans, one where subtlety will be important, be careful. Is there any questions before you leave?
