" This, Xira is the Assassin who killed the Admiral we were going to speak with, in order to get a lessened sentence the Mandalorian has decided to aid us in our investigation." Zoroku says addressing his master, when he turns to face her the pain in his abdomen flares up intensely and he grimaces. " With the Adrenaline rush gone my injuries have become quite... painful. Before I can fo... cus on an interrogation..." Zoroku stops for a second the pain of speaking making him stop. " I need aid!" he bites out in a pained tone.

At Zoroku's words, master Xira extends a hand toward the mandalorian. He suddenly feels his body stiffen, unable to raise his weapon, unable to move. "If that is the case, then he shall be taken into custody and will be tried for his crimes". Xira would walk towards the mandalorian, staring sternly into his visor before looking back at Zoroku. "You should not have made such a deal with him, Zoroku. It is a matter for the senate".
As her Padawan calls for aid, she would nod to the healer, who would move across to let their hands hover a couple of inches away fromt he injuries. As the healer moves closer, Zoroku would recognise the ithorian species hidden by the robes. "Stay still" it would grumble through a metallic sounding translator. "This will help".

Zoroku can heal 8 wounds.
With the wounds mostly healed and the pain almost completely subsided Zoroku composes himself, " Thank You. " He says looking to the Ithorian healer before turning his attention back to his Master. " I needed some way to get the Mandalorian on our side, if I had not suggested that he could gain clemency for his acts from the Republic then we may not have those two in custody. " He says as looks over to the now frozen Zalen, and the two captives the Jedi were taking. " We could have very well run into a dead end if we did not find these two immediately the trail could have grown cold I had to act and so I did." He says finishing his explanation of his actions.
Zalen snarled as he struggled.
Let. Me. Out.
"I don't think so, assassain" Xira would state in a sour tone. Turning back to her Padawan she would sigh, shaking her head a little. "You should still be careful Zoroku, this could get you in serious trouble with the senate. Still, perhaps this prisoner and the others will help lead the way to the traitor in the admiralty". With a flick of her wrist she would begin to shift the captured mandalorian towards the shuttle as the hooded jedi drag the injured with them. "Come on, all of you. We must return to the temple and finish this".
" If I remember clearly Xira, you weren't in best standing with the Senate in your Youth. " Zoroku points out to his Master as they board the shuttle together his arms folded behind his back and standing straight as possible, his posture hiding that he was ever in any pain earlier, " In fact we did things they disagreed with plenty of times, or were all those times I shouldn't have been following your example? " Zoroku says in his almost monotone voice a slight joking tone could be picked up from his voice if one were familiar enough with his speech patterns.
The master would stifle a sigh as she follows the Padawan aboard. "Perhaps, but the relationship between the jedi and the senate now is much more, fragile. After the mandalorian war, we must tread carefully, think before acting. Still," she would say, allowing the faintest smile, "I imagine that I may, may have done the same".
Kai-wan boards the shuttle. "I can drive, if you would like? I rather enjoy traversing the labyrinthine maze of the darkened undercity, and my skills are exceptionally adequate. No? Very well."
The security droid is, in fact, looking considerably worse for wear, and spends the time in transit running diagnostics and applying repair patches.
(Applies 3 patches, if possible).
Kataddik bows to the Master then gets on board the shuttle. and begins tending to his own wounds.

As the jedi, droid and prisoners are loaded into the shuttle, the party is plunged into darkness as the loading ramp closes. Eventually Zalen feels the movement return to their limbs, but as he does, Xira goes to sit down opposite him. "Do not think of trying to escape, mandalorian. Until I am tol otherwise by the council, you are now in our custody".
While Kataddik tends to his own injuries, the healer who had helped Zoroku approached him. "You know, I could help you with that, Padawan, it is sort of what I do within the order".
The journey to the jedi temple does not take long, and as they emerge from their shuttle, it must be something of a relief to be back in the upper levels. They can see the sun again, and the strange smells and general refuse of the lower levels is far away. Xira takes Zalen by the elbow and pushes him ahead of her as the other jedi escort the now conscious attackers. They say nothing, giving the jedi nothing but silence as they are lead into the rear entrance of the great temple.
As they approach the temple door, the party sees a team of temple guards lead by none other than Master Kavar at their head. The guard move to take over the escort, dragging the two captures and Zalen into the building. Zalen had never seen the inside of the temple, and it was a formidable site. The great pillars and ornate floors and cielings, it was an impressive structure. He did not see much of it though, he and the others were quickly forced into a turbolift, and plunged into the lower levels of the temple. As they emerge, they see a much gloomier site, grey walls and cells line the walls of this small room.
"In" one of the guards grunts, shoving each prisoner into a separate cell, but not before removing any weapons that remain on their person. As they are moved in, a pale blue energy field springs up, trapping each prisoner in their cell, no chance to escape. With their work done, the jedi turn their back to the cells, standing on either side of the cell entrances.
Above, Kavar turns to the jedi and Kai, a small smile on his face. "You have done well, padawans. You captured the attackers and found what will hopefully be the last piece of finding the traitor. One of them must know who it is. It is just a shame that the admiral had to die for us to get to this point".
"Agreed" Xira says. "Padawans, droid, when you are ready we would like you to join us int he interrogation. You know more about this case than either one of us, and it is fitting that you should be there. Do not take long". With that the two master turn to walk into the temple.
Zalen sat quietly, already trying to think of ways to escape from the area. He looked around quietly, trying to observe anything out of the ordinary.
Kai-wan finishes rebooting his subroutines, and after running yet another series of diagnostics, declares himself fit for duty. There is almost a skip in his step, as he makes his way to the interrogation chamber.
As the droid exits the turbo lift, Kai would see the dull grey room that the others had been led into. The temple guards are silent and unmoving from their posts, and masters Xira and Kavar turn to face the newcomer.
"Are the others joining us?" Kavar asks patiently.
Looking past the masters, Kai can see the three prisoners behind their energy fields. The woman was hunched over on the seat set in the back of the cell, and the masked figure stood close to the exit of the cell. He no longer wore his helmet, revealing his identity. The droid would instantly recognise him, officer Varn. He was responsible for the investigation into the traitor, he had even met the jedi outside of the admiralty building.
Kataddik sits back and allows the healer to administer to his wounds.
Zoroku makes his way over to where his master and Kavar are standing waiting, " I suggest we begin with the woman or the large man, the Mandalorian is their pawn and knows little of why everything was set into motion. However I believe that the female bodyguard knows only as much as is needed for her to do her job. I will let you Masters Xavar and Xira choose our first subject . " He says giving his suggestions and looking to the two masters and K1SO.
Kataddik thanks the healer after He finishes healing the giant wookiee. Afterwards, he gets up and heads down to the Interrogation chambers to meet up with the rest of the group.
"Aarrragghuuhw wuuh uughghhhgh aaaaahnr?" He asks entering the room. "Huuguughghg, uugggh wuuh?..." he continues, noticing the identity of the one prisoner, now unmasked.
Did I miss anything? Hey, isn't that?
With the jedi present, Kavar would give the padawan's a surprised look as they recognise officer Varn. "Do you know him, Padawans?" he would ask. "Perhaps we should begin there then". Xira nods silently to the guard beside the cell, and the jedi turn to disable the energy field. Gesturing the others to move forwards, Kavar lets the padawan's take the lead.
"You're wasting your time jedi filth", Varn would spit as he backs away a little. "I've got no reason to tell you anything. I was a prisoner of mandalorians, I've outlived worse than you can ever do to me. Glancing in the direction of Zalen's cell, the officer would scowl. "I never thought I'd see you cowards stoop so low as to work with his kind to betray the Republic".
" As far as I am concerned you hired a Mandalorian to cover up a conspiracy about the attack on the republic station of Foerost by killing an Admiral of the Repbulic, If anyone here is the traitor it is you." Zoroku says matter of factly as he walks up to be beside Varn, ' Let us see how much of his talk is bravado, he may have suffered at the hands of the Mandalorians but all men fear something, The Fear of Death is a good place to start' He thinks as he passes Varn his back facing Varns, his arms crossed in front of his chest in a pensive pose. " The senate will not take kindly to the assassination of senior military personnel and aiding in the covering up in the conspiracy arund the . Do you know what the punishment for High Treason is?" He says letting the question hang for Varn to answer whether verbally or mentally it didn't matter.
Varn would snort at Zoroku's comments, stepping forward as he responds in a sharp tone. "I do, and I will gladly pay it knowing I have done more for the republic than you could ever hope to do! The senate, the jedi, the police, all of them can rot for all I care! I served on the frontlines, I wasn't conscripted, I volunteered. I was a lieutenant and I killed more mandalorians than you have seen, and saved more worlds than you have heard of! You know what I got for my service, for all the blood I gave?" At this he would jab a finger towards his cybernetic eye. "This. I came through the war with barley a scratch, but when I get home, some spiced up thug glasses me in the street. I was a war hero! And the republic stripped away everything that I was! I was stuck in this dead end job buried under debt, everyone I knew had either died or left. No one cared what we had done for them, no one! Not for the sacrifices we made, not for the things that we did to save these people, that still haunt me! We may as well have never fought for all they cared!"
Varn was practically screaming into the jedi's face with fury, angry tears running out of his good eye. Finally he takes a breath, calming himself just a little. "Revan was right, the republic is a soft, pale reflection of what it once was. But things are going to change, admiral Stewth's death was necessary, she was too close, and the mandalorian was the perfect person to use. A dog without a leash, it was hardly difficult to turn him to the task. Now, the republic will be rebuilt strong, and the weak like you, and your little friends, they will be crushed under the boot heel of the new republic. It's too late to stop what's coming, you've wasted your time". The mans passion was zealous, almost feverish with the way he spoke, something had touched him greatly, playing on his hopes and fears masterfully. Still, this may have given them a lead.
High above the room where the interrogation was taking place, Padawan Velron was surrounded by an unusual hubbub of activity in the temple. It was far more hectic here than usual, and though he had not heard much, he had heard snippits, rumours. There was word of a traitor in the senate, or was it the army? Something big, something terrible had happened in the core, and the jedi were involved somehow. Everyone was on alert for anything that might develop, but despite this, life had to continue, and there was other work to be done.
" Revan..." Zoroku catches when Varn mentions the lost Jedi, " As a veteran of the mandalorian Wars you should know that the mandalorians once thought it was too late to stop them, until Revan. Nothing is ever guaranteed in the field of battle, Victory can always be snatched from the jaws of defeat." Zoroku points out to Varn the flaws in his logic " Was he the one who put you up to this? Are you in communication with the long thought lost Jedi Exile?" He asks Varn still completely calm, " It would confirm my suspicions that such a masterful attack could only have been by a skilled General such as Revan."
"The difference is that you don't have what it takes to grab victory. You didn't have to the guts to fight to protect the republic then, you don't now. And no, Revan didn't put me up to this, but I know he'd me pleased to see us making his republic strong. When he finally returns, him and his jedi will wipe you off the face of the galaxy". Crossing his arms, Varn would look at the jedi with disdain. "You're wasting your time, why would I help you with this?"
' He spills information the mote passionate he is in his anger, Goading him into a rage may get us more useful details to our investigation.' Zoroku thinks as he listens to Varn's reply as soon as he stops talking he fills the silence, " So Absolute in your statements, next you'll tell me that all Jedi meditate in the morning and never solve anything using a lightsaber, or that we are just content to sit all day and drink tea." Zoroku jokes at Varn's expense, " You claim to know that I never fought, that no jedi never fought to protect the republic, but my Master and I went to planets where the Republic and Revan failed to repel the Mandalorians. we went to relieve the good people who had suffered at the hands of raiders and if they came back we would fight them off." He says looking to Xira then back to Varn emphasizing phrases that might get under his skin, "t o say that that Revan would always win or the Jedi would always lose, is unrealistic and shows how little you understand strategy and tactics ." He says a smirk on his face his arms folded behind his back.
Grtting his teeth in ruddy anger Varn makes a wild swing for the jedi. As he does the two guards on either side of the cell spina round, igniting their lightsaber as they prepare to detain him again. "I don't care what you jedi do, or what you think of me. I'm done talking to you, scum. You're wasting your time with me. You'd be better off preparing for the end".
Zoroku would hear Xira stifle a sigh behind the jedi as she listens to them talk. "Perhaps a different approach is needed? Or maybe one of the other prisoners."
Zoroku catches the punch and twists Varns wrist until he can feel that he stops resisting, he lets go as soon as Varn does not want to cause him undue pain only prevent himself from getting hit. "It seems I made him too angry too quickly, a new interrogator could be of use here, a different approach than ridicule could prove more effective.' He turns to face Xira as she speaks her words mirroring his thoughts he steps towards her, "I agree, the question becomes whether the approach was too hard or too soft, I do not think we give up on him just yet..." he then turns his gaze to his fellow comrades, "I however will not be the one to continue interrogation, he already associates me with one approach."
The former officer cries out as his is forced to one knee. As he is released he retreats towards the back of the cell, rubbing his wrist. "You're wasting your time!" He shouts at the jedi as they discuss their next move.
